Costa already had a yellow for mouthing off. He then took as blatant a dive as you're likely to see, right in front of the ref's face, virtually.

He should have walked! But, once again, he got away with it!....
Expect a riposte from that myopic twat from the Chavs board!! <laugh>

You gotta love 'em! They do meltdowns better than the Mousers!

Innit, blud!...<laugh>

It's like an end of season game where neither side has anything to play for. Very flat, particularly from Bournemouth.

I'm a bit worried for them this season, other than Wilson I don't think they have any real quality in their squad. I like Adam Smith and Ibe might come good in the long run but the rest of their players are much of a muchness. I don't know what their scouting set up is like but their recruitment has been a bit uninspiring since they got promoted.

Perhaps it would help the Spanners to be told that their weekly rent has
been adjusted to its true value and the bailiffs are now coming to collect.

They certainly need Wilson back to the form he was showing a year ago. I was stunned they sold Elphick, he will be a quality signing for Villa. I know he wasn't always first choice, but he looked a very good defender when he was picked. Boruc is a real enigma, hopeless one week then brilliant the next, but never far away from a balls up. But Howe seems to be ok with him.

I think Ibe will prove to be a good signing, he's a useful talent, and if Daniels can reproduce his form of last season, then he'll always be a threat.

But overal though, I agree and think they'll struggle because they simply struggle to keep clean sheets, particularly at home.

It reminded me more of a pre-season game, where both sides are lacking fitness and sharpness.
The move's clearly damaged the atmosphere, too.
"Is this The Emirates?" being sung repeatedly by Bournemouth fans and you could tell why.

The Spanners have been on Europa duty all summer have they not ??
The only excuse I will accept on that front is a declaration from them that they are
too weak to participate to do a full pre-season for both the PL and UEFA tournaments.

If you can hear the away crowd with all the alleged "home" support there, then it is. :)

They weren't fielding strong teams in the Europa, for the most part, as their players weren't all back.
Their squad fitness levels are a bit all over the place, I think, much as ours are.

Much as I hate sticking up for West Ham, playing Monday/Thursday/Sunday isn't great, either.
There were two clubs from the Premier League with midweek football and one got picked to play on Monday.
That's just stupid.

I agree with you, it's bonkers to play Monday/Thursday/Sunday. But as it's West Ham, then I don't really give a damn <laugh>.

Red card for Arter. That's silly.
Byrom should've gone in the first half though, by that standard.
