Conte has banned a bunch of food and drink from Chelsea's canteen, marking a big change to their fitness and diet plan.
Pizzas, fizzy drinks, brown sauce and tomato ketchup are amongst them, apparently. <cough>Ramos<cough>

Is there going to be anything left for Conte to throw at his players?

Certainly not half and half scarves, as the club banned have banned stall holders from selling them near Scamford Bridge. The club say it's on trademark grounds, but we all know the real reason is because Chav fans don't like scarves to be mixed race.

Chelsea have trademarked the word Chelsea on clothes and similar gear, apparently.
I don't know if we've got a similar thing on the word Tottenham, but I don't see how it's allowed.
They're places. Can I trademark the word Liverpool or Manchester? Who has Madrid?

What about those poor souls that were given the name Chelsea? They can't brand their clothes with their name?

So what are we supposed to call Chelsea boots now?
**** club in Fulham boots? Which bring up another question: How can they trademark a place name when they're not even in that place?

Chelsea Clinton sued by Abramovich. More at ten.

The real question is how long before the Chicago Blackhawks sue Chelsea for having the word Chelsea on their merch?

...before anyone asks, whenever they score they play The Fratellis' interminable pub rock dirge Chelsea Dagger, so they have several shirts featuring the slogan "Cue the Chelsea" emblazoned on it.

Swansea have signed Borja Baston from Atletico Madrid for £15.5m, a club record.
He's a 23-year-old striker who has scored 50 goals in the two top tiers of Spanish football over the past 3 seasons while on loan.
Gives them decent back-up and competition for Llorente, I think.

Ayew, Gomis, Paloschi and Eder out, but only two in? Maybe a little light, but with improved quality.
They'll only play one up top on most occasions anyway, I'd have thought, so we might see a return to how they normally play.
Squad depth could be a problem, though. Time will tell.

I think there's a chance they'll go 4-4-2 in games, perhaps a diamond-type with Gylfi behind them and Fer in the holding role. Baston was impressive at Eibar last season and comes from a club who's had some terrific strikers in recent years, I doubt he'd be joining Swansea for a record fee just to be back up/ competition.

Something like:
................Fer
Routledge......Montero/ Dyer
...............Gyfli
Llorente...........Baston

Very decent on paper, even if Fer isn't your typical defensive rock, he covers a fair bit of ground to play the role adequately.

What I find hard to believe is that we were linked with Baston back in March/April - and the Scammers never declared an interest!

I can't see them coming in for Chadli, not for the £15m being quoted. Not having spent the same amount on Baston plus another £10m on Fer/Llorente. Their next inbound will definitely be a replacement for Williams which could cost a pretty penny - perhaps another £10-15m. Can't see them spending more than £35-40m in one window, even with the Ayew money.

I think he'll be tough to shift but to be honest, if him and Bentaleb are still here come September 2nd I don't really mind.

EDIT: Just seen that Guidolin confirmed in an interview today that his business will be concluded after a CB is signed. Maybe Palace would be stupid enough to cough up the asking price for Chadli after Bolasie moves to Everton? They were dumb enough to take Adebayor!

I hope Swansea have better luck than we had with a certain center forward from Spain who hit the crossbar whilst standing underneath it.......

Really dumb idea by Charlton:
You must log in or register to see media

Apparently this guy is the only one that was contacted and his behaviour was completely out of line, which he's admitted.
Nobody is going to know that by reading that letter, though and I find at hard to believe that they didn't consider that.
Their approach actually seems quite reasonable from their statement, but how many people will read it?
