So what are people watching tonight Reading v Bradford or Swansea v Liverpool?

FA Cup for me, might switch if Swansea are winning though.

Yeah, I don't think it's a coincidence that Bale and Ronaldo are being linked with moves away, they're making room for Chadli :(

<wah>

.....Nice mention of ourselves from the Real Madrid manager Ancelotti about the Tottenham connection, Modric/Bale.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti believes the return of midfielder Luka Modric from injury played a part in Bale rediscovering his goalscoring form.

"Bale looked more motivated and more hungry," said Ancelotti.

"The presence of Modric offers more depth for Bale to link up with his team-mates.

"They know each other well, they played together at Tottenham, and there's no doubt Bale is more comfortable with Modric on the pitch."

Yeah, Modric is a massive player for them, Kroos, Isco, Illaramendi and Khedira are all poor replacements. He should really call up Levy and thank him for not selling him to Chelsea, he'd be wasted at a side like them.

Talking of "rivals" I'm glad the saints have fell away as watching that group of average players try and break the top four has been embarrassing for the premier league. I did hope Stoke (inspired by Crouch) could catch them but that looks unlikely now.

Well at leat those 'average' players gave it a go. Surely much more embarrassing watching your world class team not get near the top 4 and eventually even fail for top 6?

Saints have done well to break into the big 7, although thats mainly due to Everton's league season being destroyed by their focus on the Europa League, so next season I expect Saints to finish as "best of the rest" which will be great for your club. But I remember at the start of the season I said it wouldn't surprise me if Saints had the last laugh and still managed to finish top 8 after everyone was tipping them for relegation, so fair play to saints for proving people wrong as wherever you finish it will have been a great season by your standards.

If Liverpool see this through then thats the top 5 settled with the 25th April V Saints as potential to be the decider for 6th. Exciting!

Liverpool win with deflected goal shock.

Cue TalkShite tomorrow creaming themselves over how brilliant Pool are.

You make your own luck vimhawk, not like any other team bar us has won by a "deflected goal"

Just keep battling to the end when you're not playing well.

Your lot weren't talking about making your own luck when you kept complaining about how many times you hit the bar and post a few seasons back...

But that's my point YV, we hit the woodwork more times than a joiners hammer back then and now when we get a bit of luck there's whinging because of it.
If Henderson wasn't where he was there'd have been no "fluke" goal so he "made his own luck"

<ok>

Isco is much improved this season, the rest i agree with.

Was just talking about him as a replacement for Modric, as he played there a lot when Rodriguez was fit. Similarly with the others, they're quality players but they can't do what Modric does.

That kind of thing happens a lot, very few go in.

My personal view is that luck happens in football but once good or bad luck is repeated consistently then you have to start looking at the team. Like with us, people would say it was lucky that we were winning with late goals earlier in the season but it's not luck when you keep repeating it. If Henderson scored another few like that then fair enough but otherwise it's a big slice of fortune.Same with our failure to kill off sides, we almost never do it and that's a problem, it doesn't matter whether their goal's against the run of play or not it has to be addressed.

I'm standing by what I said YV, I've seen us lose many games after dominating posession and shots on target and sometimes by a flukey goal against the run of play, so when a goal like tonight happens its just a matter of things evening themselves up imo.

It was lucky because the opposition where outplaying us and failing to take their chances. we definitely rode our luck during that run of games but its clear the players are fitter so if the opposition fail to take their chances and tire towards the end, that means we can take advantage.

Still Pochettinos methods will get found out and his only hope of remaining manager past next year is if the Harry Kane show continues which YV I've no doubt you will say it will.

Harry Kane could win the Superbowl and Wimbledon if he wanted. He could beat the Hulk at arm wrestling with both hands behind his back, Anyone who doubts this is asking for a permanent ban for blasphemy.

I have set Harry Kane a target of 25 league goals, to beat the league total of Darren Bent (24 goals 09/10 season). If he can reach that target then I will believe in his greatness and that Kane is the real deal.

I heard that Harry doesn't do push ups, he simply pushes the Earth down.

Also eats his soup with a fork.
