I was actually just thinking about this, i'd have a word in Bale's ear so he wants to come back and then try and get him for £30m. It would only be fair.

He's one about £250k a week, isn't he? More chance of Soldado finishing this season as the league's top scorer than Levy matching that.

Good point, we need him to do so badly that he doesn't believe he's worth that amount. Few more weeks should do it.

Don't know when Modric is back from injury but I'd expect they'll all improve once he's back, one of their most important players, especially in the big matches.

Hopefully Bale will get sent off against Barca by punching Ronaldo. That'll get him chased out of Madrid so fast that he'd sign a contract with us on minimum wage.

If Bale really wanted to come back to us he'd do it for £100k a week, which seems to be our ceiling. He probably makes enough from Adidas and other sponsorship deals to still make him fabulously wealthy(er) anyway, as if £100k a week wasn't enough...

I'm not sure he'd consider us though, he seems to have a soft spot for us but at this stage of his career he'd want a club hitting for the League or at the very least secure in the top 4 and going for the Cups. I could see him at City unfortunately, and he'd hardly be short of clubs wanting his signature I think unless he really was a ****er about wages.

Apparently madrid have watched Harry three times already this season, it's only a matter of time brothers.
Story reported by our good friends at the Daily Wail.

More likely than anything else is somebody was heard speaking Spanish at WHL, so some journalist put two and two together - because Spanish isn;t the native language of Ospina, Bellerin, Monreal and Cazorla, is it?

Or we get The Ultimate Levy, with Los Ladrones de Madrid having to pay half of Bale's wages for the remainder of his contract - which is a mere four years.

Ah Nigel Pearson is blaming MOTD for making a mountain out of a molehill. We'd best be careful in future, the fella can look after himself.

.@PaulMcCarthy66 if I was I'd tell you that he was sacked by one of the owners' family and reinstated by another, but then I'm not.

Reactions: No Kane No Gain
What do people envisage as the peak of Harry Kane's ability? He has drawn comparison to Alan Shearer and Teddy in particular. Shearer was putting in 25-30 league goals a season at his peak, Teddy only occasionally made it past 20. Can Kane compete with that in consecutive seasons?

He looks good. But, from now on he'll be a marked man. If he can maintain his performances next season, when defenders are far more ready for him, then yes, he's the real deal.

The 64000 dollar question! I think we will know much more next season when the whole PL will be 'aware' of his threat. As I have said before, what impresses me is the complete simplicity of most of his goals. Without seeming to possess a special technique, no ball juggling, no extra fast speed, just a sound sense of where to be, of where the goal is and when to hit the ball. Shearer, Greaves, Lineker, Alan Clarke all spring to mind as having this ability. Exalted company indeed if Kane can stay at this level we have a new super star on our hands.

He looks like the classic no frills English Striker.

Sorry thor but carrick, berbatov, modric, keane and bale all demanded to leave. Levy then made clubs pay through the nose for them
Til harry does this he wont be sold...the same is true of lloris and eriksen

In the case of Berbatov, receiving a ransom demand from Man Utd saying they had Berbatov at their training ground didn't help matters...

I'd agree with the first paragraph if it wasn't for agents. They're all about telling a player they're "worth" the stupid money and that it's an insult to the player if they aren't offered near it. I'm sure Barnett would be pushing him towards the money which will inevitably be City, United or Chelsea.

Everyone that's interviewed him at Madrid has said how fondly he speaks of us and that he'd only ever have left us for Madrid(as shown by his refusal to consider United). I don't think it's a question of ambitions, if he was forced out of Madrid and we matched what he could get elsewhere I think he'd be back. It's a fanciful idea though, I bet he stays.

The next five matches are make or break at least that's how I see the situation. If we can beat Liverpool and West Ham it will put a good gap between us and them and good results against Fiorentina will push us nicely on in the Europa and a win against Chelsea as we have done before at Wembley a couple of times will give us confidence for the rest of the season. Chelsea look beatable at the moment.

I don't see problems against Swansea and QPR.

Tony Fernandes says he is closing in on his "dream manager".

Sorry Timmy, I think this means it is not you.

Yeah, the bit about not what anyone expects really put an end to that. Wouldn't be surprised if Tim turned him down, he turned down West Brom and Palace, didn't he?

I'm probably wrong but I immediately thought it might be Ramsey as the permanent manager.
