Ladbrokes have suspended betting on Laudrop.
Wow! That's an incredible coup if they've got him, always rated him at Swansea. Not exactly a results manager, which they probably need to stay up, but he'll get them playing good football.

Laudrup? But he's the manager of the mighty Lekhwiya SC, champions of Qatar.
Perhaps they're getting his brother, Brian?
I remember the season in the late 90s where there was talk of a North East revival - which ended with Sunderland and Middlesbrough both going down.Puts Villa down there, and hopefully out. Often when a North East team comes up one goes down and Middlesbrough are top of the Championship, hopefully we'll get rid of Sunderland. Why Defoe is there is beyond me.
I'm mystified as to why Delph signed a four year deal with them in January. Villa have been locked in a death spiral for a few seasons now, and a few clubs were looking at signing him in January, so you'd think he'd rather move now than stick around for the rest of the season and hope one of those clubs would be willing to pay a much larger fee to a club with little grounds to negotiate. If Lambert still has a job in the morning, then something's very wrong at Villa.
The BBC live thingy has this as their form since September 20th:
LLLLLLDDDWWLDLDDLLLLL
21 games, 8 goals, 2 wins.
Yeah, it's a very strange one. He's not even one of their youth players or it might make more sense.I'm mystified as to why Delph signed a four year deal with them in January. Villa's plight has been astonishing, it was only what, 4-5 years ago where us, them and Everton were the "best of the rest" teams in terms of fighting for a Europa place while trying to break into that top 4 monopoly. They had the likes of Young, Milner and Downing, a formidable trio of experienced, English Premier League players, with Dunne and Collins at the back supported by Friedel/ Given/ Guzan and Barry in CM, now they're left with a broken Benteke, Guzan and Delph who stupidly signed a new contract (unless he's done Villa a favour in terms of leaving for a fee and not on a free) plus a bunch of nobodies or cast offs. Not sure who's to blame, Lambert will obviously have a lot of fingers pointed at him but where did the money from the Young, Milner and Downing sales go? The owner looks like he's royally ****ed up what is essentially a very big English club. You can't sell quality and replace it with mediocre then expect similar results.
Holte...end?anyone remember a numpty on the old bbc 606 site who was a villa wum?
would love to know how he is coping with villa being so bad for the past 4 years
