You were commenting on the Utd team.

Arsenal continue to show more style than substance - that's apparent to everyone.

So what? My comments on the United team have nothing to do with Arsenal whatsoever. Me criticising your team (justifiably) does not mean I endorse everything Wenger and Arsenal do. It was a stupid comment.

You made a comment typical of the manager you don't support. The gist of your comment was that Utd were jammy in getting a late equaliser that wasn't merited by the performance. How many times has Wenger complained that the better team didn't win, or words to that effect, when his team played the pretty football, but the opposition showed some resolve?

Wellbeck has said that he and the team are devastated at yesterday's defeat saying that it brought to an end their five match winning streak. I always thought that Wellbeck was a bit addled in his thinking as we drew earlier this season and he's chosen the wrong team to go to.

That doesn't mean he's wrong. By your own admission - you didn't disagree with a word I said. So you agree with us both.

Which bit of that is incorrect? United fans themselves would say the same...

You didn't answer my question. So I'll ask you one more time - extremely clearly - before you start backtracking even more.

How were my comments about your team that had just played relevant to Wenger and Arsenal when I made no comparison or reference to them?

For the sake of others, I don't intend to carry on the argument beyond this post.

Your initial comment, as an Arsenal fan, complaining that Utd were going to take a top four place because of "jammy" results (the inference being at the expense of Arsenal) smacked of whingeing Wenger and I replied accordingly.

I agreed with your subsequent observations about Utd's shortcomings.

Whilst not supporting Wenger, you appear to imply from your remarks that Arsenal are more deserving of a top four place than Utd on merit, which brings us back to where we started.
