Soton have signed Eljero Elia on loan. I watched him quite a bit in his Eredivisie days and thought he'd go on to bigger things, was a really tricky player with good pace and skill yet since leaving The Netherlands it seems his career somewhat stalled. If he can reach his potential then Saints have got a good player on their hands.

It's tick box management from Mourinho -but it works if the players are good enough. Chelsea are very good, but I question whether they would be so consistent without Terry or Matic. If both were out for any period, I don't think they would be so confident or solid. They don't have replacements who can do the same jobs.
Mourinho knows they can get 2-0 up now and kill off the game. If those two were missing, they would have to push forward and might be more susceptible to the odd shock. Whilst he has his best players available, they look hard to stop.
Now Liverpool take the lead away to the team we just pipped at home and you were all satisfied with rubbish scores against the bottom clubs. If we struggle against the lowest we will get thumped in the next two games.
