Is that the worst first touch in Premier League history? Besic tries a silly backheel in the middle of nowhere, putting through Mikel, who passes it to the Spaniard/Brazilian.
Awful introduction to English football.
 
Last week Everton couldn't beat a bad Arsenal at home and now they've lost to Chelsea at home so away from home what will they do I wonder. Will they challenge for top 4? I don't think so.

I always thought they'd fall off when the Europa hits them, as they don't quite have the squad depth others have.

That said, they're doing a good job of ballsing up the start, although they have had a tricky one to be fair.

Plenty of excitement but awful officiating. Costa becomes the latest player at a big side to have the ref allow him to dive when he was already on a booking. Worst decision of the day has to be the lack of a decision when Howard caught the ball outside his box, there's absolutely no excuse for that one, shocking bottle job from both the lino and ref.

They have a really hard coming up in late Sept./early Oct., too. Swansea A LC, Liverpool A PL, Krasnodar A EL, Man Utd A PL.
The fans' patience with Martinez might get tested a little, but he's doing a very good job on the whole and they'd do well to show him their support.

Well they gave Moyes years and years, and Martinez appears to be viewed by many of the Everton fans as an upgrade on the Scotsman, so I doubt he'll have too much trouble from them or the club hierarchy.
 
Chelsea might have scored six yesterday,but i think their defence is dodgy,if Everton's defence hadn't been worse than the chavs,they could have won,not many teams score 3 and lose in the P/L
 
Two issues for Chelsea.

If Costa is out for any period, can Drogba play 90 minutes twice a week every week?

If Terry and Cahill aren't playing together, can their defence cope with PL style defending i.e set pieces, pushing/shoving in the box etc?
