Standard Mourinho. Get ahead, get defensive, stifle the opposition, slow the game down, try to hit on the break.
Very, very effective, when he's got the right group of players and I think he does, but pretty boring a lot of the time.
 
Everton make the second half interesting. Very good header by Mirallas.
Hazard (or Huzzar! as it's pronounced now) will be getting dropped. No good at defending.
 
Can't see this finishing 2-1. Everton are really going for it and getting a lot of men forward, so they'll either equalise or get caught out at the back.
It'd be very funny to see Eto'o coming back to haunt Mourinho.
 
Everton have played good football, but giving up at least two every game will cost. Today it's misplaying the high line. It's an indictment of PL officiating that players will take their chances waving their hands to get an offside call rather than trying to prevent the ensuing goal. I thought if Howard had focussed on the ball, he would have prevented the second. I also don't mind officials not calling offside when it's close enough. They're imperfect, and should err on the side of letting play go on. Players arguably deserve to benefit from being very close to being onside. It's also not much of an advantage--or wouldn't be, if players kept defending.
 
Very good save by Howard. Distin's struggling to play the offside trap well and keeps getting caught out or very close to it.
 
Mirallas needs to stop taking the corners. He can clearly head the ball and his deliveries have either hit the first man or drifted really high to the far post.
Got to be a better option in there somewhere, surely?
 
I'll be surprised if Chelsea don't make a change soon. They're hanging on a bit and getting overrun in the middle.
 
3-1. <doh> OG by Coleman, as Lampard's left his deflections in the Stamford Bridge dressing room.
 
3-2. Naismith. Very un-Chelsea reaction to getting a goal, sleeping at the back and all tracking Lukaku, who's not actually involved.
 
Offside and own goal, luck continues doesn't it? Come on Everton you should be winning or drawing this not losing. You're playing the luckiest team on the planet.
 
4-3. Eto'o. This is a bit shambolic. Both teams defending terribly and you expect to see Chelsea do better on a set-piece.
Baines is much better at taking them at Mirallas, though.
