Very mixed refereeing by Dowd in the Sunderland v Cardiff game. He's right to pull the game back and send off Cala, but he shouldn't have given a penalty.
It was outside the box and play had probably gone on for too long, as well.
Nice to see a forward's honesty rewarded, though. A lot of strikers would've gone down instantly, but Wickham stayed up and tried to score.

Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Kalas, Cole; Lampard (c), Mikel, Matic; Salah, Ba, Schurrle.
Still a side capable of winning the game, though they probably won't, but what a ****y move. If the shoe was on the other foot he'd be creating all kinds of conspiracy nonsense.

Oh come on, Norwich are shocking away from home and you were poor until the ref stepped in and gave you a dodgy penalty.

You scored 4 goals against Newcastle and Villa, who are comparable to Norwich in their poor form, in the last month under Moyes so Giggs hasn't pulled some incredible result our of his magic hat.

The whole thing is overdone. To hear some people talk about Moyes you'd think he was setting you up to defend out a 2-0 loss against Everton. The problem wasn't a lack of desire to get the results but that he couldn't get you playing well enough in the big games and Giggs has done nothing to buck that trend because he was playing a very poor side.

If he beats Southampton 4-0 on the final day of the season then we can start talking about him doing well.
 
The specialist in failure got his CL excuse in the other day did he not.
If the Poool win easily today, perhaps Nemesis will see that Atletico prevail next week.

I was watching Sunday Supplement this morning as they were all dismissing the idea that he's play a weaker team as mind games, thinking "yes he will, if anyone's stubborn enough to do it, it's him".

Pretty much as expected, it won't be a classic game but for the curiosity factor it does make it interesting.

I wouldn't even see that as a massive achievement, as half of their side are supposed to be on the way to Old Trafford anyway! <laugh>

Southampton will have nothing to play for. They'll be solidly stuck in 8th, with half of their players thinking about the World Cup and the other half thinking of the beach.
I'll be very surprised if a Man Utd side with a new manager doesn't turn them over quite comfortably.

Reckon you could get a serious high odds 'exotic' accumulator bet on that game
(Poool strikers to dive in the box + Fat Frank to score a deflected goal etc) .

There's a thread on the Watford forum about whether we should get a new manager at the end of the season. Given our owners penchant for Italians I have a recurring nightmare that we end up with Di canio <yikes>

True but half their team will also be trying to impress Hodgson to get a free trip to Brazil in the summer.

I hope he is. Should never have lost his job.

But it's the fans I feel sorry for.

I'm not a fan of Levy, but this is an example of how bad it could be.
