Roysten Drenthe's (remember him?) free-kick for Reading to put them 2-0 up at Elland Road:

Filmed by a rather unhappy Leeds fan. They went 4-0 up, but it finished 4-2.

They are filling Elland Road these days!

City attacking Barca from the start. It could get interesting if they open the scoring, but they're screwed if it goes the other way.

Same situation as with the Goons. I have a feeling that Citeh could win this one like the Bayern game.
Whether they can get the GD needed to win the tie is another story.

City benefiting from an offside and a penalty decision that both should've gone Barca's way.
Could easily be a couple down, but the Catalan team of diving hobbits is getting most of the other decisions. I think the foul count's about 10-0, so far.

I'm trying not to fart during this game, as I'm worried that it might knock one of the Barca players over at the Nou Camp.

More dire refereeing, as he misses a really obvious penalty for City, as Pique makes a blatant trip.
He compounds the error by sending off Zabaleta for complaining.

As much as I don't really want to, I can't help feeling a little sorry for City - dreadful performance from the referee. Apart from the first half "penalty" he's done them no favours at all.

Now they know what it's like! <laugh>
City are level. Kompany's been very good tonight and he scores to level.

PNP farted !!! :)
Their willingness to go to the dark arts really p*sses me off though. They really have no need for it.

Why will the pundits never criticise them for this behaviour? How can a "class" be class and cheat at the same time?

All City needed (apart from winning) was not to show themselves up and set themselves up for the title run in, and they can return home at least knowing they attempted to gain some pride instead of sitting there and admiring Barca, when Barca are struggling this year, they aren't the same great team of before so overall City should feel like they missed an opportunity to defeat them in the 1st leg if they played their natural game.

Quadruple to (a sort of) double (at best) in 3 days. With only one decent centre half and a tendency to go off the boil when everything's not going their way, it was never on, was it?

The onside goal ruled offside? Same as the first leg lol

This is where I am unclear on the rules - was it onside? The player receiving the ball was onside, but the two inside at that point weren't. They were back onside when the ball was rolled across, but surely this was the same phase of play and their earlier offside position counts. I think. <steam>

Hard to fancy them for the title, either. They've still got to go to Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton. Are they even going to be up for the early game at Hull this weekend? Got to fancy Chelsea, I reckon. Then quadruple > COC

When BigSmithy posted his thread jinxing City. I mentioned I refused to believe a team with Joe Hart could go down in history as one of the greatest teams! plus City aren't a great team when compared to truly great teams, they are pretenders and nothing more, talented, exciting to watch yet they could end up with just the league cup!
