Well, if any of our players read our posts, they aren't listening.

2008... we won the Carling Cup with a lucky goal when Cech punched a ball into Woodgates face...we deserved to win but got a piece of luck
1991... we won the FA Cup with a lucky own goal , plus Gazza should have been sent off so by rights we should have played 70 mins with 10 men
1984... we won the UEFA cup at WHL... after equalising in the last minute of normal time, winning the penalty shoot out in front of spurs fans
1982... we won the FA Cup with a penalty v 2nd division QPR in a replay when they were the better team and hit the bar late on
1981... we won the FA Cup in a replay after drawing the 1st match with a lucky own goal in a match that city deserved to win

We had some luck on the way but we deserved our trophies and great memories.

Chelsea have had some luck but EVERY successful team needs and gets luck but they win trophies cos they deserve to imo

I like Long. Works really hard and scores a reasonable number of goals. Seems to be a description that fits every Republic of Ireland striker at the moment, though. Not quite enough quality, unfortunately.
 
Villa players must be having flashbacks to our result. Could fire them up to avoid that humiliation or it could hurt their confidence and cause a collapse.
