Why on earth does anybody even contemplate employing Mark Hughes? He is the worst manager out there.

I never enjoyed Stoke's style of play but I could understand it when they were new to the Premier League.
They never seemed to progress in the following years under Pulis, though. It'll be interesting to see how they set out next season.

Waste a lot of money on average players with over-inflated wages? That's how Mark Hughes usually sets up his teams...

Looks like David Moyes is bringing his own men with him to United, as Mike Phelan and Eric Steele the keeper coach have both left OT. I think his number 2 at Everton was Steve Round and his goalkeeper coach was Chris Woods.

Surprised about Phelan, in particular, I would've thought keeping the assistant manager would've been part of the continuity they were after.

Strange in some ways, not in others. Clough & Taylor were inseparable, but SAF has had many assistants. 'Arry likes his entourage around him. Moyes must feel he needs the people in knows and trusts in key positions. I doubt he'll overhaul the wider coaching and support staff though.

Seems that Rafa's taking over at Napoli on a two year contract.
Why did he pick them over Stoke?

Pity Fergie couldn't become a referee. He'd show Webby a thing or two.
Well,he could ride around the pitch in a Tesco 4wheel trolley......!

I'm not surprised at all, given Phelan's role was to talk to the BBC because Comrade Bekonom didn't want to (even though he was in violation of Premier League rules in not talking to them)

My main surprise is Mike Phelan is fifty - he looked like he was at pensionable age five years ago!
