I admire your optimism District. Also you say that you SHOULD be 2nd or 3rd? I fail to see that as you finished what 6th last season.

TMT

Fulham (H) - Draw
West Ham (A) - Loss
Reading (A) - Draw (after being 2-0 up)
Southampton (A) (see above)

Games that Chelsea should have won and would have done in any other season. Even if you call it 6 points that puts us 1 behind City having a better fixture run.

Any team could say the same thing, DL. There are a bunch of fixtures that we 'should've' got more points from. It's irrelevant, as we didn't.
As for 'any other season', what about last season?

Certain elements within your squad seem determined to undermine you at every turn.
Happened in the last campaign and it seems to be happening again in this one.

In no other season would we have surrendered a 2 goal lead to newly promoted teams but I get your point PNP.

Benitez just doing what he's been told, which is to break up the old guard

<yikes>...dear oh dear!...what are you saying, are you really grizzling over being **** in these games, you 'should' win nothing for being ****...and you didn't. You weren't robbed, fell foul of disallowed goals or anything...you were crap and got what deserved, and those teams that beat you got what they deserved. I could rattle off half a dozen games we could have won, so could the Goons, City etc.

This is one the worst posts I've read from you...should win!?!?...some might say arrogant, you have no right to win any game. <ok>

I'd expect my 5 a side team to see it out a 2-0 win against lesser opposition with not long remaining.

A game against Arsenal or City theoretically is not a game Spurs "should win", at 2-0 up then obviously yes.

Are you honestly saying you wouldn't expect Spurs to win if they were 2-0 up with 2 minutes remaining, or 2-0 at home to a relegation threatened side with half hour left?

As a Spurs fan I can categorically state that I wouldn't, DL. I've seen the team **** up far too many "unassailable" leads!

Yes i did, v Everton this year, but I'm not grizzling about it, you are. 1up with 1min plus stoppages to go...but it didn't happen, as the goals conceded were our fault, as were the goals you conceded your fault and nobody elses. This is football, a sport, there are no 'shoulds' in any sport I know of...thats why we watch it.

The very fact that you let a 2-0 lead slip District means that you aren't as good as last year. There's no point in talking about yesteryear. You don't have Drogba anymore for one. Fulham is a derby for you as they're your neighbours so anything can happen in derbies. Wet Spam nearly beat us so it's obvious they'd win against you. As for the other two matches......................................hee hee hee hee.

Nobody asked for examples <grr>. 3-0 up to 3-5 down against Man Utd still rankles.

2-0 up against Arsenal with 15 minutes to go and losing 3-2. The season later same scenario but drawing 2-2. Lee Dixon and Nigel Winterburn scoring screamers against you. Yep, Chelsea <doh>
