I heard somewhere he was on less at Madrid than we offered him. If thats the case its gone completely wrong for him. Shame
 
Worryingly (after Real's performance last night), they are our rivals.

Varane looked a lot better player than he did in the first leg v Utd and Ronaldo doesn't have an off day, ever. Lets hope the occasion gets to him on Tuesday night

As someone who used to sculpt quite a lot I find it very strange that the artist seems to just be working from stock images of Bergkamp, it's hardly surprising the likeness is so poor. Normally an artist would go to extra lengths to get custom photographs of every little feature and detail. Either the Goons wouldn't stump up the cash to get a sculptor who actually knows what he is doing, or Dennis couldn't spare 10 minutes of his time for his 'beloved' club.
 
I thought the tuff of hair, vein on the head and nose looked OK.

Guess I'm alone again.


How are they going to mount it? Is that pole going to be sticking out his arse forever?

i hope there are plans to refine the face before it goes live (or whatever the term for going live for a statue is).
Actually, no i don't. Because the hilarity of everyone passing the statue saying "who is that?" could last a long time.

Is that how Bergkamp looks now? I've not seen him for a few years. Maybe there has been a monumental cock-up?
