If you try to read the artical you will find there is no mention of the steward being hit by missiles infact it say`s it is thought he was caught in a rush from the crowd, further down it shows a picture of Michael Carrick carrying a piece of chair which had been thrown onto the pitch, this was my main reason for posting the link as you stated no chairs were thrown.
