Nine of the 54 Premier League penalties Howard Webb has awarded (17%) have been given to Man Utd.

Howard Webb - United's 12th man and should be questioned for being so by the FA, sorry - by MUOTFA

Bizarre game.

A point at Chelsea is always a point gained. One more than City got. Spurs still got to go there <yikes>

No issues with the pens. Sturridge didn't get the ball; it was a clumsy challenge- a foul anywhere else on the pitch, so a penalty in the penalty area.Ivanovic took Welbeck out clearly.
Actually I thought Webb got most things right today. I didn't think Cahill's challenge in the first half was a foul - they just got their legs tangled going for the ball. The Sturridge penalty was clear cut. The other one, less so, but if you put your foot where a player with the ball is about to tread - surely that makes it a careless tackle? Similar to the one against Arsenal at Swansea.
I thought the most bizarre decison of the weekend was Senderos getting booked against City. There was a 50:50 ball, he got there on the stretch just before Kolarov who ran into him with great force. If it was a foul at all it was Kolarov for using excesive force.

Yeesh, that's awful! He does get big games more so would have had more of Man Utd's games in recent years though, I suppose.

Anyway, this is Chelsea's new "3 goal" cushion.

Personally, I think Webb has lost track of the plot, and is currently a ****e referee. However, on this occasion, we got the result we wanted, so I think he had a bloody good game. <whistle>

Anyone got any issues with the penalty decisions today?

Haven't seen them in decent quality yet, but the second one sounds extremely debatable.
Webb simply shouldn't be given Man Utd games any more, though.
Ferguson eliminates refs from taking charge of 'his' games if he doesn't like them, but he clearly likes Webb a little too much.

More to the point, he got the penalty decisions right.

Lies, damn lies etc. Webb referees the top clubs a lot because he is the top rated ref. United get penalties because we play in the opposition box a lot and we have quick players who pass and move. It ain't rocket science.

Even if the stat was that 80% of all the penalties he gave were to United, you'd have an excuse.

Hang on, lets be honest. If the phrase, or phrases, Howard Webb - penalty - Manchester United came up in the same sentence we would all know what the inference was, unless we were a Man Webb or Howard United follower.

i'm just shocked you made a spelling mistake <laugh>

I think the turning point in the match was when AVB took of Sturridge for Romeu. That took oaway Chelsea's pace and threat on the counter attack when united were putting them under the cosh. Im sure Sturridge would have gobbled up that chance which Torres flopped on aswell
