I think Potter's a good manager, but he may run into the same problems again.
Can't really turn down an opportunity like that, though.
May turn it round if he's backed in having a clearout.

A fine line to walk, when the expectations are higher.
IMHO the problem is whether you can rebuild
your career in the event of failure.

When we get 2nd, 3rd, or 4th it shouldn't effect us

The intent on paper seems to be to reward
leagues whose clubs collectively go much
farther in UEFA land competitions.

I suspect the reality is to try and ensure
some of the UEFA darlings can "slipstream"
into the CL when the domestic form fails
to qualify in the usual places.

Also this is going to be a mess when you
have this rule + EL winner qualifies for CL rule
(could there be *SIX* PL clubs in the CL ?? ) .
 
Watching the old farm derby between Ipswich and Norwich got me thinking, what happened to Max Aaron's? A few years back he was touted to be an answer to our prayers at right back , dropped off the radar now
