"Man Utd getting beat 3-0 at home by a team currently losing at home to Luton is a pretty damning situation." - comment from a Utd fan on the BBC live thingy. Bit harsh on Luton, but yeah!
“How you doing, mate?” “Ahh not to great, got knocked out” “Oh wow, how did it happen?” “Got arsed in the face” “Fair enough”.
Sad to hear Tom Lockyer of Luton has collapsed on the pitch again. Carried off for treatment and is hopefully OK, but this could be his career over.
For those that weren't aware, including me, he previously collapsed in the play-off final. He suffered atrial fibrillation, had surgery and was given the ok to play again. Sounds like this is probably a repeat of that. Hope he's ok. BBC are reporting that he's alert and responsive in the tunnel.
First and foremost hope that he is ok and that he makes a full recovery, whether that can involve playing I doubt, but at the moment thats the last of his worries
Good luck to him. I hope that he can make a full recovery. His career as a professional footballer is probably over, but there's plenty that he can still do in the game.
They are in good form. are well organised and enormous! Expect a very hard game that we will lose to a headed goal from a set piece.
It appears he did have a cardiac arrest. I don’t pretend to know the details of his medical history, but it’s clear that he has some heart defect and it’s unlikely that the PL could continue to sanction him playing after two serious on-field episodes in a few months. It’s a shame, but you have to be realistic. I always find it shocking and thought provoking when seemingly fit and healthy athletes suffer serious health issues, as it’s always a reminder of your own mortality, however you choose to live your life.
I'm avoiding the trending tab of Twitter, dreading the Died Suddenly ghouls will be crawling all over this
IIRC Dan KP said in the summer of 2021 we weren't going to sign unvaccinated players, ruling out moves for Eriksen and Michael Olise
