Grealish having an excellent game for City, the equalising goal by Alvarez was a picture book goal and they almost look a better 'team' with Alvarez who contributes more in general play than Haaland.

They look like they did before they got the big Ogre upfront

the little men knocking it about and spreading the goals

2-1 City

Unfortunate for Alexander Arnold.
I think that shot was creeping wide, but he had no way to know that.
Blocks it and it drops straight to the goalscorer.

Harvey Elliott is a talented prospect, but I don't think he was the right choice for this match.
He's a winger playing in the midfield against a team that force you to defend a lot.
Combine that with Liverpool's front three of wingers and they can't keep possession.
No real out ball apart from breaks to try and score straight away and little protection.

Clear dive from Gakpo. Why no booking?

Why was that not a booking for diving. Is that not a thing anymore.
Depends who you play for.
There was a player booked twice for diving the other day.
VAR looked at both incidents and gave them both as penalties! <laugh>
