Driven 500 mile round trip to Portsmouth, getting back in time to watch the second half. De Bruyne scores in under a minute! Suppose I have to want City to win this one
They look like they did before they got the big Ogre upfront the little men knocking it about and spreading the goals 2-1 City get in
Unfortunate for Alexander Arnold. I think that shot was creeping wide, but he had no way to know that. Blocks it and it drops straight to the goalscorer.
Harvey Elliott is a talented prospect, but I don't think he was the right choice for this match. He's a winger playing in the midfield against a team that force you to defend a lot. Combine that with Liverpool's front three of wingers and they can't keep possession. No real out ball apart from breaks to try and score straight away and little protection. Clear dive from Gakpo. Why no booking?
Depends who you play for. There was a player booked twice for diving the other day. VAR looked at both incidents and gave them both as penalties!
Klopp has earned himself a hell of a lot of leeway at Liverpool and deservedly so. I can't help but feel that this 2nd half would create questions about virtually any other manager, though. It's a meek surrender, so far. Very, very poor. They didn't come out after the break.
I passed a pub on the outskirts of Camden infested with Arsenal fans earlier I haven't seen an attempt to get a song going die so quickly since that one time a bloke wanted to sing Gary Glitter on karaoke night
Manchester has become the first UK city to launch a "tourist tax" for visitors: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-65138013 It's unclear whether this was intended to target City or Utd fans.
