But seriously he works in Frankfurt
Shocking to just give up and lose their heads when it got to 2-0.
At least it’s only one game. You expect to lose 3 or 4 by conceding 7 goals.
Not done any favours for the team in 4th, who now have Liverpool breathing down their necks.
I think we are resigned to our fate now.

The scoreline is very funny, it's a shame that it had to be Pool that inflicted it on them, but I'll take it. I haven't got the energy but this "ManU are back" thing has been trending for quite a while now among the pundits and the media in general. Again symptomatic of the pundits (1) reflecting scorelines rather than what happened in the matches (2) just repeating what other pundits are saying and (3) not wanting to say anything remotely different. Basically I love it when they get it wrong. Because I've heard talk about "the quadruple" and "a chance of the title" quite a lot recently. As for that manager, who I've already said I don't like, for such a 'brilliant' manager how come he couldn't work out what other teams were doing against Liverpool this season and replicate it?

The team currently in 4th, are more concerned about
the Toon and Brighton winning their games in hand.

As should the team in 3rd be ...

Not quite sure why this image reminds me of this old quip, but it does so I'll mention it. Back in the day when Salman Rushdie was in hiding because of the fatwa against him, it was said nobody could find him because he was playing centre forward for Scotland.

Might only be one game and 3 points but that result will live on for many a year no matter how you try to downplay it.

7-0 defeat against Liverpool is absolutely as bad as it gets for Man Utd. One hell of a beating.

Tis even worse than that.
If it was the Poool 2013-14 / 2018-19 / 2019-20 / 2021-22,
you could in theory say : well ok.

But the Poool 2022-23 are hardly at said levels,
and Man Utd are (alleged) rising again ...

Fernandez escapes retrospective punishment for laying hands on the lino. Pretty clear from video footage less than 2m away from the incident.
You have to wonder whether a player from another club would have been so lucky....?
(That's a rhetorical question)
