It has definitely happened before can't recall the exact club or player but I recall a player saying that he would pay for any shirts that fans had bought to get the number corrected, strangely I think it involved Utds 7 shirt was it Valencia?

I think we actually changed it once, I’m sure Kane switched from 38 to 10 once Ade left. Kane confirmed on social media he/ the club would be covering the cost to any fans who’d previously bought Kane 38 shirts.

That’s the only thing that needs doing in my opinion, if you wanna change a number then as long as you offer to reimburse the fans who’d bought the previous number then there shouldn’t be much of an issue.

Kane switched from 18 to 10 at the start of the 15/16 season and used it in the first match.

Bale switched from 3 to 11 in the summer of 2012 and started the season with his new number.
He may have offered to pay for new shirts for any fans that had already bought his old one, but no rules were ignored.

Since they have Grealish playing on the left when Foden usually plays right or central i suppose that point will never be reached.

Except for the minor detail that they don't: of the 49 games Foden played last season, 33 were...guess where...the left wing

As opposed to the grand total of three on the right and nine as a CM

Serious question
Are there published accounts for the recording of income from 'fines' and/or any specific directions as to how this revenue is used by the FA?
I'm sure there must be, but just have this image of them rubbing their hands with glee when they impose these otherwise pointless sanctions and planning a good night out...<laugh>

At the time I was gutted that we did not make an attempt to get him ( notice I said attempt)
