This really, really pisses me off. Agents work for players, players should pay them not clubs.

If your player want's to play for us great, we will pay his transfer fee and discuss his wage with you. After that you can charge him what ever fee you have agreed with him for arranging/negotiating the deal.

Football agent’s gotta be one of the best jobs in the world. Make a **** tonne of money based on the hard work of another individual. Didn’t Raola pick up something like €20m from Pogba’s move to you lot? I’m definitely in the wrong job.

I couldnt give two ****s what other people find offensive.

Black lives DO matter, so do White lives. Neither statement is wrong.
They are both stupid though, as if it needs saying.....
Not the place for this, but I find your logic horrifying. Quite surprised everyone seems ok with this.

He's a Chelsea fan. <whistle>
You're right about it not being the place for it, though.
Any further discussion should be taken to the Politics thread, where it's more appropriate.

It's completely backwards, isn't it? You're paying someone to make your own negotiating position harder. Lunacy.

As I pointed out a page or so ago, the term "White Lives Matter" comes from a neo Nazi group based out of Texas, and Britain First has gleefully been using it in recent weeks

That really is an end to why Burnley distanced themselves from that banner, because there's nothing innocent behind it - which is why ****s like David Vance are trying to muddy the waters by playing the poor, oppressed white man card without realising the card doesn't even ****ing exist

Juve have agreed a €80m deal for Arthur. Arthur’s a decent player but no way is he worth that, even half of that would be a push. Barca robbing them blind there.

Well that escalated quickly!

Interesting. Pjanic is very good IMO, very silky player who could do well at Barca. I’ve never got Arthur to be honest, always seemed like a bit of a Brazilian Harry Winks. Tidy in possession but not really a DM and not good enough on the ball to be a top progressive midfielder.

You feeling alright mate? Dissing your best friend there <laugh>.

I agree though, he’s a watered down and less progressive version of Frenkie and seeing as they already have Frenkie, it seems pointless having Arthur too. Agree on Pjanic, cracking player. Barca easily getting the better of the deal.

Pjanic is 30 and Arthur is 23 plus Pjanic will earn a lot more in wages than Arthur.

Weird deal by Barcelona

My guess would be that Pjanic fills a stop-gap, because Rakitic may well be off in the summer and Busquets isn't getting any younger. I think Vidal is also out of contract next summer and I don't know if he's really been seen as the ideal fit at Barca, tbh. To get as fine a player as Pjanic, plus some cash, for a player like Arthur who Barca have never really seemed to have been able to find the ideal place for in their team, probably feels like good business in the current climate.

They're getting a better player plus some cash for someone who hasn't quite hit the ground running there. I think it's a good move for them. Age to top teams like that doesn't matter too much as they generally want the best player for the now, rather than the best player for the future.
