Arsenal will still have a 59k plus attendance even if they have to play behind closed doors.

Totally agree. If a game is poised at 5-0, with the losing team down to 10 men, with 5 minutes left and the floodlights go out, the game is abandoned and replayed as if the abandoned game never happened. There's no authority that I can think of for saying..."Well this would have been the result, so we'll not bother finishing the game".
It might be fair and fine for Liverpool to be declared winners but I can't see Norwich, Villa and Bournemouth accepting relegation for them based on their current positions, especially as Villa have a game in hand over Watford, who are 2 points above them. Also, Sheff Utd. would be 5th if they were to win their 29th game, That could be a CL place gone. If you can't be relegated because the season wasn't completed, in my opinion, you can't be awarded the league either. The only analagous situation is cancelling the game.
If there's no existing authority for a decision and it's not applied equitably across the piece, it's a sham and such a decision would be in trouble if taken to the CAS by a complaining club, affected to their detriment. This is especially so if other countries leagues came to differing decisions and abandoned their seasons.
The season is either played out to a conclusion or it should be voided ab initio.
I think this is what will happen. A fairer outcome would be to suspend until August and then finish the season by mid October. Then start a truncated league season by dividing the PL into two groups of 10. Each team to play all the teams in the other group home and away. Then the top five teams in each group play each other home and away to decide the Champions and European places. While the remaining teams contest the relegation places. So a truncated 28 game season. Bin the Carabao cup for that season and there should be time to play a full FA cup and some sort of truncated Champions and EuropaLeague....the latter would depend on UEFA being able to agree with all its constituent FAs which may be too tricky.I can`t see this season being completed, the logical solution is to declare the season null and void and wiped from the record books. That means no trophies, no promotion or relegation, no European football next season as it would not be fair who qualifies and the Euros to be put back a year. Divide any outstanding prize monies up equally and as fairly as possible, then start again fresh next season with the same leagues as this season.
You also have the possibility that some players may be infected in a month or twos time, and therefore unable to play, which puts some teams at a disadvantage, it would be totally unfair. The whole thing is a one giant mess, it would be tough on teams currently leading their respective leagues, but the easiest solution is to just void the whole shabang for this season and be done with it.
Coronavirus might be giving us one hell of a silver liningFor the good of the footballing community it needs to be cancelled.
1 - We get to erase this horror show of a season.
2 - Liverpool don’t get the title.
3 - Leeds don’t get promoted.
It’s win-win all around.
The level of athleticism in the 50s and 60s was much less than now. A game took less out of them in those days. The league used to play 2 games in 2 days or 3 in 4 days a while ago....when men were men and hamstrings weren't going left, right and center!
Things CAN be done if fingers are removed!
They'd soon slow down if they had to play 3 games in four days. When I was a kid we used to play every night. The level of athleticism in the 50s and 60s was much less than now. A game took less out of them in those days.
4 - Poch comes home. For the good of the footballing community it needs to be cancelled.

Saltypool denied the league
-or-
West Scam get relegated
...of course, the thought of L666s getting promoted in their place pushes people towards the former, doesn't it?
