Citeh's owner's response to being investigated for breaches of UEFA rules...

"They're jealous"

If he's seriously running that as their defence, I suspect that he's also going to be handing out those suitcases full o' cash as well...those should swing it.
...while Sheikh Mansour's cousin is making a bid for Newcastle, which I'm sure will be completely above board

If the Toon could guarantee their PL place, I say let it happen
(IMHO it would trigger UEFA to up their stance - two clubs in
a CL participating league both owned by family relatives from the
same oil money autocracy etc) .

Good to see Tommy H spraying passes around again. Great talent that was held back, in part, by his uniqueness imo. Few managers have managed to get the best out of him.

1-0 to Villa at h/t though. Poor defending on a cross and a bit of luck for El Ghazi, diving under the ball only for it to go in off his back. All to play for though.

Villa are up! Didn't think much of either side though, a fair way off PL survival standard imo. Pleased for Dean Smith though, he's done wonders with Villa after a dodgy start.

He'd have been way overpriced again anyway. We're better off spending big on the right midfielder.

Probably would’ve got him for sub £30m if they didn’t win today. More than reasonable for a player of his calibre and potential.

Ship’s well and truly sailed now though.

Agreed. Two truly awful teams. Cole and Hudd are so past their best it was cringeworthy at times.
It'll be interesting to see what Villa do in the summer though as much of their success this season has been based on some smart loan moves. Mings, Tuanzebe, El ghazi and Abraham are all no longer Villa players come Friday. With Bmouth and United both ****e defensively and Chelsea unable to strengthen I can see at least 3 of them being permanent goodbyes. No idea what Lille feel about El Ghazi nor do I particularly care.
