In fairness it was a very, very soft penalty. But Xhakahaha was inept to let March march across him, and totally daft to stretch an arm out and give him an excuse to go to ground. You can even see the Arsenal player glance at the covering defender coming to close March down before he decides to stick the arm out. Maybe the covering player was Mustafi and so he thought 'feck it, penalty is better than a certain goal'?

But with so much at stake it beggars belief how poor United and Arsenal were.
Take a closer look, he tried to get away with an ankle tap.

United you can make a case for, but we have by far the worst squad in the top 6. I'd even say you can make a case for Leicester or Wolves' squad being better than ours. It should come as no surprise that when the pressure was on us to win, we wasted the opportunity.

Typical Arsenal really.

There have been players that we've got rid of who I was genuinely gutted by their departure. Fabregas, Nasri, van Persie, Sanchez, Cazorla...but this current team? There isn't anyone, bar maybe 3 players, who I would care about leaving.

In my lifetime, this is the most unlikeable, arrogant group of players I have seen. And I hope they get every single bit of vicious abuse in their direction. They deserve it. Useless bottlers.
You won't be saying that if you win the EL Brunel, you still have a chance of the CL.

Any Spurs fan moaning about making it needs to remember Lasagne-gate, 4th place and The Filth winning the CL and West Brom's keeper throwing 3 in on the final day.

I give not a flying ****. We're in the big cup next season. United and Arsenal are gutted. Everything else can be addressed after we win the CL.

<cheers> Yes, I've started drinking.

We live to fight another day, but I hope getting CL qualification doesn't paper over the cracks. The last 2 months has been a PL self-destruction of biblical proportions.

Like Verts, I'll take it, but we - and Chavs, Gooners & ManUre, don't 'deserve' to be in the CL next year.

For me, our chance to deserve anything out of this, season is in getting past Ajax to the Final. And our performance yesterday has undermined that - I just hope not terminally.

Our best players, already running on empty, had to overwork for 50 minutes and are unlikely to be recovered enough to take up the fight on Tuesday.

Bloody hope I'm wrong.

COYS!!
We play Wednesday so we should be recovered by then hopefully!!

Is it just me that is still worried we will blow 4th by getting beat by Everton massively (5-1 Newcastle still haunts me) and the Goons winning big?

You are not alone.
In the event that Spurs beat Ajax, then at least Pochettino can say
the following to the team selected for the Everton game :

You are now playing for a place on the team sheet for the CL final.
Those who do not put in a shift and play with a calm head in this
game to ensure a win, make alternative plans for that saturday.

I don't know how the form of us, Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd bodes for next season as we are all finishing this season so badly. Utd have an untested manager, Sarri's brand of football isn't popular, Emery? I don't know and we have a settled coach whose teams have a habit of fading late on. Unless Pep leaves City I see the same top two competing next year.

If we get 25 points from the first 18 games the top of the table won't be our concern.

You think we will be winning the EL with performances like that?

No chance.
Brunel, I'm going to repeat that often a team will play differently in different competitions. Remember relegated Portsmouth reaching the FA Cup Final? Look at us in the PL, total pony but here we are in the CL semi. It can happen still for you.
