2-0 Barca, VAR penalty to Suarez, iffy decision.

Steve Archibald doing the commentary though and he called it as a penalty in real time, so I could be wrong.

2 points dropped for arsenal is excellent for us though.
We’ll probably end up taking nothing from tomorrow’s game and remain a point behind them, but arsenal have Liverpool at the weekend!

2 points dropped? Did you watch the game? Palace absolutely battered us ffs <laugh>!

I'm amazed we didn't lose that. In the context of how the game went, we have to see it as a point gained. That was our worst performance of the season by far. I guess playing 3 games in 6 days took its toll on us.

Just hope we have our fullbacks available for the Liverpool game otherwise we will be in for a long and difficult evening next week...

You were lucky Palace and the officials took a half hour break at half time.

Madrid could get totally stonked by Barca here. Currently 2-0, could be 4 or 5.

If Suarez wasn't such a greedy b'stard it would be 3-0

Completely agree, what I meant was going into the game everyone would have fancied you to take 3 points with the form you’re in. With us playing city tomorrow, it’s handy you only picked up 1 point from that. <ok>

We’ve got the same problem this week.
Monday night, Wednesday night, Saturday night. Bloody ridiculous.

Have to put the kids out against the spam

Ought to be allowed 11 subs in the Carribou cup

I’m intrigued to know how we’ll approach it this season.
Last year we made about 6-7 wholesale changes and struggled like hell to find any sort of rhythm on the pitch, making life very difficult for ourselves and risking a fair few first teamers that remained part of the 11.
Either we go for it with a full team (or there abouts), or we change the team entirely and give some youngsters a chance, IMO.

It cant be good for the sponsors getting a match between two youth teams, if they would allow 11 subs, you could have the first 11 on the bench and get very exciting finishes to the games.

1-2 Marcello for Madrid. Undeserved, but Barca only have themselves to blame, the game should be out of sight.

Bale booked for petulance. Good refereeing.

Modric hits the post, should have scored

Madrid have changed their shape at half time, playing with wing backs, Barca look rattled.

Suarez hits the post, great game

Dembele on for Couthinho

Suarez 3-1, brilliant header 15 yards out, so much power

Suarez gets a yellow, Bale substituted

Marcello does his hamstring executing a back heel<laugh>

Suarez hatrick, 4-1

Vidal, just come on as a sub, 5-1, classy assist from Dembele, could we swap Dembele's

What a save Courtois, almost 6

Another gift for a team playing in red, this time at Old Toilet, the Everton player took the ball, just before the man.

United winning but unconvincing, with a lucky, ridiculously taken penalty by Pogba.
Young somehow escapes getting booked for his usual ott late fouls.

Walcott proving once again what a complete waste of space he is. Best bit of business by the Goons was offloading him and then Wilshere.

Goodbye, Lopetegui. Suarez gets his hat trick. 4-1 Barca. Real came alive in the second half but Barca have just killed them off in the end.

5-1 last time I saw, if Barca had taken their chances in the first half it could and should have been 7 or 8. Perez didn't look happy.

What a game of football.

Yep, game over. Utter demolition. Real look **** without Ronny. Not helped that Lopetegui looks like an absolute donkey as well. Played Nacho, and then Vasquez, at RB despite having the £30m Odriozola on the bench - a natural RB.

Vasquez looked good at the start of the second half, I thought Madrid were going to turn the game, but Madrid were leaving too many spaces and as soon as Barca brought on Dembele, it was game over, too much pace. What a header from Suarez, one of the best I've ever seen.

Just seen that header again, it gets better every time you watch it.

Yeah that was insanely good, the cross from Roberto was only about 10 ft away! To angle and aim with his head with such little time shows his class.
