Or was out muscled and fell to the ground if you prefer the more accurate version.

I didn't see any rolling on the ground like he'd been shot ala lamela.
He dived. Then he dived again.
His teeth alone should earn him a booking in every game.

Nope and didn't at the time either, lamela was very clever/cute/sly in the way he earned that pen. but let's have it right that wasnt a dive by firmino by any stretch of anyone's imagination.
Lamela was just obviously and blatantly fouled. It's only controversial because it's Liverpool.

I don't think you'll find a post by me arguing it wasn't a pen, contact was made. It's a pen, lamela forced the contact and made the most of it.

Say it or don't, it doesn't need to be tbh, lamlea and Kane played for both pens

To argue that makes you look well , yaknow

Lamela didn't force anything. Van Dijk just kicks him. It's utter nonsense to suggest otherwise.
Did he grab his leg and swing it for him or something? Ridiculous.

We all know that any ref giving a major decision against Liverpool is going to be called everything under the sun.
It doesn't matter if the decision is wrong or right, he'll be put through the wringer.
Moss has proved that this season in just two games this season. He probably won't get any more.
Fly kicking a keeper in the face isn't worthy of a red, apparently.

Kane may have played for his penalty but I dont see how one can play for being kicked into row ZZ

Lamela runs across vvd while his leg is in motion and makes sure of contact, Your angle doesn't show this (conveniently)
I'm not sayin it wasn't a pen, only that Pamela knew exactly what he was doing and what was going to happen if he ran across him.

Anyways 2-0 now to us
Enjoy your Sunday <laugh>

Last time.

It's a pen, he played for it.

Really easy to understand

What a ridiculous argument. It's not van Dijk's fault for kicking Lamela, it's Lamela's for moving! <laugh>
Thanks for proving my point.

What's ridiculous about a player swinging his leg to clear a ball and another player launching himself between ball and players leg therefore making sure he was kicked?
It's exactly what happened. Vvd is stationary, lamela flys across him. What are you arguing about?

Anyways this will go in circles and it was boring enough when it happened so I'll leave it there.

Besides it's getting a little hard to hear you from all the way up here <whistle>

Firmino has blatantly dived on 3 separate occasions in that first half v Saints, and no yellow card anywhere to be seen. Dele Alli on the other hand, who, according to the media, is the worst diver ever to grace the PL, goes down and is straight into the book, another example of how the media influence the perspective of referees.

I wonder if the Pool loving media will spend all this week discussing Firmino`s diving exploits, I very much doubt it, that`s not part of their narrative and would put a negative spin on their favourite darling club.
