Yep - those 2 points will be crucialThe title race is on!

Had they beaten us and won today at home against Huddersfield, then the gap would be down to 10 points. The title race is on!
The title race is on!
Just seen the score and read that Pep chose 6 subs.
Can this bloke be any more of a ****?
Imagine being a City academy player right now, the first team has a couple of injuries but instead of getting a call up, your manager decides he has zero faith in you and thus names 6-man subs bench.
Chequebook manager twat.
To be fair to Guardiola, City's U23 side played last night and they all seem pretty young.Posted this on the Prem board but feels suitable to throw here, too.

He may have felt that playing in that game, which they lost late 1-0 to Swansea, was better for their development.
Any youth player would probably only have sat on the bench, as both sides only used one sub, bizarrely.
He's trying to highlight the recent fouls on them that they feel have gone unpunished, in my opinion.Don't defend him, PNP! Lol.
Even so, an U-18 player then? For me, there's no excuse for a Prem side, especially one the size of City, to not be able to select 7 subs. Even if you're not going to make it onto the pitch, surely just being selected for a first team squad provides a massive boost to a youngsters' confidence? It at the very least gives hope for the future.

A lot of those against us don't even get replays though, so I have little sympathy!![]()
Burnley 1 City 1
I can't criticise Kyle Walker's defending for the goal - as there wasn't any.

Mourinho and United bottled it on Wednesday. I do wonder if they lost every game from now until the end of the season, whether the press would use the 'bottle' word.....?
That's a rhetorical question. Of course they ****ing wouldn't.
Damn, have we missed the chance to reduce the deficit to 10 points?Had they beaten us and won today at home against Huddersfield, then the gap would be down to 10 points.
Still massive, of course, but it would look a lot more attainable.
Shame, eh?![]()

How careless.
Whether the gap is 5 or 500 points, the outcome will be the same
Wenger whining yet again!
Competition in Europe's biggest leagues is being "destroyed" by clubs who have "huge financial power", says Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Frenchman Wenger pointed to examples in France, Germany, England and Spain.
Paris St-Germain are 11 points clear in Ligue 1, Bayern Munich have a 16-point advantage in the Bundesliga and Manchester City are 15 points ahead at the top of the Premier League.
Wenger said it was clear that "unpredictability has gone down".
He added: "When you look at the five big leagues in Europe, in December we already knew four champions.
"That means something is not right in our game. The huge financial power of some clubs is basically destroying the competition."
