It was on bt sports straight after we lost to city. Listening to players like Graham Roberts, Hoddle, Perryman, Ossie, Villa, Jennings, Chivers talking about the fans making WHL home was great. It brought back so many childhood memories of a place that gave me my happiest times as a teen.
Shame our DoF doesn't understand what we as fans are worth.

It was tough to see poor old Jim Greaves in that chair and having difficulty speaking........and your mind goes back to a younger Jim making defenders wonder why they bothered!
I would love to have seen, maybe,my favourite two goals.Gazza v Arsenal in that semi and Ricky against the City after being panned in the first game!

He'd better be at that price.

Has he been any good since the injury? Rose is 2-3 months back into playing and is still........well.............somewhat limited, to put it kindly.
everytime i've seen him since the injury he has looked like he will fit right in with our defence :bandit:

As i pointed out on our board when whinging about the price there are 2 possible explanations
a) he is still restricted by his injury
b) he aint even trying for Southampton

both of which are big worries for me.

Obviously if we now suddenly find ourselves with a solid defence great (until Man City , Barca etc come calling) but i have always argued that our defensive problems are at least as much structural as due to individual errors so upgrading the players will only go so far.

He reminds me of David Luiz. A very good footballer but not a great or natural defender. Some managers might coach that out of him but Klopp's not that coach.

Oh well,
