I said that a few weeks ago, Doucoure under Poch would be dynamite. Currently kept out of the French side by Pogba, but his time will come, class act.

He is exactly the type of player Spurs need, someone who will go past his man (or men) before making a cutting pass rather than passing it sideways or missing the target. A sort of Lamela+, Lamela tends to go past men and then launch it over the bar, Doucoure is far more productive.

We must hold some sort of record of facing the most teams in their first game under a new manager.

I doubt they'll have someone in place by the weekend though and probably saw that fixture as a write-off anyway, giving them a good fortnight to find a successor. Bit puzzled as to why they didn't pulis the plug (sorry) before the intl break as waiting to play the reigning champions wasn't exactly going to teach them anything they didn't alreay know.

My money's on Fat Sam.

Mine isn't, given he'd have to pay Palace a couple of million for the privilege.

A big word of praise to Callum Wilson following his hat trick on Saturday. To return from one cruciate injury is difficult enough, but to return from two, shows a remarkable level of determination and patience. It's not so long ago that a cruciate injury almost certainly meant the end of a career, so well done to the player for coming back and playing at the top level again.
