Jose Moronho says the £198m fee for Neymar is "not expensive"

Never, ever ask this profligate psychopath for financial advice.

But he is right. Jose is simply being realistic and honest and in reality it is not expensisive.

It's ****ing outragously extortionate

Had you going for a second <laugh>

Walker, Sigurdsson and Pogba........or Neymar? I don't know.

In 2013, if you'd told me we had 2 players worth a collective £100m and neither was Bale, I'd have laughed in your face, for a long time.

It's a horrible thing to say, but I hope Neymar picks up a career-ending injury in his first game for PSG. I have nothing against him per se, I just need to know that there is a semblance of justice remaining in this world.

Can their opponent loan Charlie Adam for half a season ??

Do you really want to see his teammates all wearing Neymar shirts at the start of the next match, while makes it look like he died?

Because that was the least amusing part of Clogger Bonito getting Die Mannschaft three years ago...

Justice: recovering from an injury and still being paid half a million pounds a week.--I don't think so.

I'd prefer it if they gave him the money to pay off his contract and he just did a bunk with it! <laugh>
£300m! <diva>

It's a five year contract. That's five years of earning money doing absolutely nowt.

Most teams cover themselves with clauses that protect their interests in the event of a career-ending injury. The transfer fee itself is non-refundable, but the wages can terminated.

Here's the obvious question that nobody's asking about PSG/Neymar: unless PSG are so determined to play in Ligue 2 they'll pay £198m for the privilege, what's the plan to balance their spending before the FFP police kick down the door?

The main reason I'm asking is because I get the feeling we'll be linked to Rabiot for the third season running...

As PNP explained/surmised earlier, technically PSG are not paying it. Neymar is. He pays his release clause, gets paid a (co-incidentally) identical sum to be the face of the Qatar World Cup and FFP is an irrelevance. Man City have been using similar tactics since it was brought in.

Why do I get the feeling that, soemwhere in Barcelona, a Western Union office had a really good day?
