Given FatSam's preferred 10-0-0 formation he must have a lot of defenders in his squad to compensate.

38 0-0's would probably keep you in the league atm, even on GD! Finding a squad wanting too is another matter, but if anyone can its Sam!

    A specialist in failure? Ouch.

Mourinho's been trying to bait Pellegrini for weeks, but the Chilean simply wouldn't bite, telling the press that he'd respond once and then bow out of any tit-for-tat crap.
The mind games have moved onto another target, it seems. The voyeur generally gets the worst of it when he takes the bait, too.

As it's Valentine's Day, how many cards do you think Moron received from the sports section hacks?

These minds games will effect Wenger, as Wenger is a deep thinker and a deep thinker that has been a failure in terms of winning trophies so you can bet this will get under his skin, even if he doesn't respond as for a manager of Wengers ability, to go such a long time without winning silverware, at a club which is geared up to win trophies and has the financial backing, leaves him wide open for being ridiculed by Mourinho and Jose isn't shy!

Mourinho's running out of targets, so it's just a matter of time.
Pellgrini's ignoring him, Wenger's too easy, Rodgers is one of his proteges and Moyes isn't worth the effort and it would make him look bad, kicking a man when he's down.

Meulensteen must be on for some sort of record for getting sacked more quickly than anyone else.
16 days at Anzhi and 75 days at Fulham. He'll break the 100 in his next job. Maybe.

I thought Magath had retired. Interesting to see if he can do the business outside of Germany.

Are Haig and Maureen related? Both are quality Wumsters but neither are subtle.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Meulensteen said: "I knew the owners were freaking out a little bit that there was the possibility of the club going down.
"The way forward that we have discussed with the club was about longevity and in this case it is clearly an act of fear.
"I have not had a lot of time and people who came to the Manchester United and Liverpool games could see what I was trying to put in place.
"I couldn't care less what they put in the statement, to be honest."

TOM FINNEY! Man what a player. A total gentleman who would put today's players into another category.Played all his career at Preston North End.....and in Stanley Matthews shadow. Why?I haven't a clue!

A bad moment for Tom was watching him crippled by Maurice Norman!

    91 too.Wonderful!

We may have been harsh on Wenger as he's the one who Intially wound up Jose by saying

''Mourinho was responding to comments from Wenger earlier in the day when the Frenchman, without mentioning his direct rival by name, had suggested rival managers' unwillingness to admit their teams are contenders for the Premier League title was born of a "fear to fail".

"If you declare yourself not in the race, you cannot lose it, simple as that," Wenger had said. "I just think our job is to be ambitious and to try to win. And if we do not win, to take full responsibility for that. It's very difficult when you're first in the league to distract people."
