Like Chief said, we did have AVB at the time. The odds were always against us with him in charge, so getting 3 points was somewhat of a miracle and a reflection of how **** Fulham must have been in front of goal.

  3. Let me answer this for Kate, YV.

In what sense was Spurs lucky? Easy. In the sense that a non-Spurs wum says it is.

New million pound maths "grand challenge" put out there :

If a club with X points is a PL title contender mid February, and a club with
X - 3 pts is not, what is the value of X ??

I don't think Poool 606 will accept that answer (as it means they have to
acknowledge Spurs have been PL title contenders in one of the past 4 seasons
    while they were laughable) .

I'm sure he or she will get over it. I don't think for 1 second we'll win it, but as of now we are in the race as far as i'm concerned.

MOTD were obnoxiously pro-Liverpool last night, to the point that nobody even considered the thought that Sturridge made the most of Reither's challenge.

5 Live's panel was Mills, Lawrenson and Whelan - BBC have obviously taken note of Jose's comments and started employing more of them just to annoy him.

He's already thrown one toy out of the pram this season - but still got £32m for it...

    Well.....yeah.

But if it was in the middle of the park, he would have skipped the challenge and sped on. The fact the tackle was in the penalty area and a defender stuck a leg out, he was always going to go over easily, as would the majority of players in that position I'm sure. Just another aspect of today's game that pisses me off.

True. On the other hand I've seen challenges outside the box given as fouls that wouldn't even be considered a foul in the box, so really players are given the wrong message. If they don't go down, there is no chance of it being a penalty, regardless of if the incident was a foul or not.

Agree with the thrust of your argument, but in this case the Fulham defender was stupid and got what he deserved (was paid for <whistle>)

The spammers have kept 13 clean sheets. The most in the division. And with defensive injuries. This is worrying as big Sam is getting more plaudits each week! But that stat about most clean sheets was surprising.

When you say that's half their games, the stat is even more amazing, especially as they have conceded 33 in total, which is worse than Hull and only one better than Palace.

Conceding 4 at Liverpool and 3 v Utd, WBA, City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Norwich, Newcastle & Everton is the other side of their defending.

I like Allardyce but it's pretty grim reading. Cleansheets in half their games yet they've only won a quarter of their matches. 13 cleansheets haven't come from brilliant defending, they've come from a lack of interest in attacking in nearly all their games. You get by how you can and I don't blame them for that but it's still sad, it feels like it's missing the point of football somewhat. West Ham and teams like them(Chelsea <whistle> ) are like clinical football factories churning out results, whereas sides like City, Southampton, etc are like artists where how you get to the result is just as important as the results themselves.

36, 35 or 34 points less than another team who are currently top. ( or 33 if the x-3 club win the league on goal dirrerence (Based on 12 games to go.) Or any number plus 8 pints of Delusion Ale (only sold in the red half of Merseyside)

Had a look on the Fulham board to see what they are making of Holtby and Dempsey.
