I couldn't agree more.

Except I don't start many threads, and probably wouldn't call AVB a clown, as he's seemed like a nice enough fellow, even if he proves he's not the right man for Spurs job.

The ideal manager IMO would be able both to play AVB's high pressing game, and Harry's attacking in waves, express yourself style.

Oh, and be able to pick which style the team should be playing, and when. As much as I liked watching Harry's teams play, they went distressingly missing for the most part against the tough teams.

I kind of agreed with most of that. I think the high pressing game is fine but it's only half of what's needed. It needs mixing up with sitting back a bit and letting the opposition come on but being able to switch to a one touch counter attack to open up the bus parking teams. The more you press them the less time you give yourself.

You have to feel sorry for Soldado, as you can see sometimes hes trying to find space, trying to make a run, and then he makes a run but Andros cuts inside and shoots, its no fun playing upfront when your team mates aren't reading your runs.

That's AVB's fault, surely?

Or are you telling me that that is what they practice in training - Soldado finding space and Bell... (sorry) Townsend hogging and wasting the shot for himself, every single time?

And yet, paradoxically, I find the real WUMs would benefit greatly from studying your example, provided they had the resources to benefit from it.

<laugh>

I would label myself as the god of wums, but in order to do that I would have to be a wum - which I am not, of course - so I cannot say that.

But, if I was a wum, certainly would-be wums could learn a lot form me. Which they won't, because there is nothing to learn, as I am not a wum.

Heh, this is rival watch. You're meant to be discussing how Utd have come back strongly whilst everyone else faltered. Or is that just too hard to face up to?

Rooney was pure class and you played l'arse the right way, by bullying them. Let's hope when they come to the Lane we start with both Capoue and Sandro and do the same. In addition, the ref appeared to be a bit of a gooner so I guess your victory was even sweeter.

Lol, I hope you do that. You are pretty **** going forward as it is. Man Utd can afford to play more defensively, as they have two great forwards who can win them games. You guys have scored less league goals than Stoke, so you can't afford to lose any more creativity from your team.

Less than Stoke? I did not realise that.

That is bad.

As long as bobby doesn't greet Andros with "hey monkey" I'm sure they could have a chat and Andros can have it explained to him that he is allowed to pass the ball!

****s knows what training is like with AVB & freund, but it probably isn't much more then closing down or "The idiots guide on how to cut in from the wing"!

There's a long time to discuss all this. Just as things were warming up nicely, we've got 2 weeks before the next games <grr> Instead the players can spend their time travelling around the world and risking injury in (mainly) meaningless international games.

Saints will finish above us, this season.

I cannot believe how much money it has taken for us to play such ****e football.

AVB has taken a perfectly reasonable team , built under Harry Redknapp and done ..............well im not sure what he has done but fuck me its a bad thing.

Its like hes turned a team , into a collection of players wearing the same shirt and all trying to perform the same role..

I think AVB should have done what Wenger has done.Sit on his butt and let 'em get on with it.Might work for us too!!!!?

2 weeks before we get hammered by man city.

I think i'll take a 3 week break.

Exactly what i'll be doing <ok> Nice pre-xmas holiday
Gonna miss both manchester games. Watch us play scintilating stuff and take them apart now before returning to normal when i get back.
