Chelsea, Man City and Man U all have comparable squads and decent reasons to think they'll win the title. Of those three, Man U with the new manager and relatively unsuccessful transfer window look most vulnerable, but they still have RVP and Chicharito, and have added Fellaini to a title winning squad. Adding a world class player to a fourth place team, as Arsenal has done, doesn't make them title contenders, especially when their glaring weakness is the depth that the other three have in spades.

This has to be a true story (even though it's the Daily Fail), because that's a chav media mouthpiece (as witness that rag's concerted attempts to tap-up Modric for Mad Dog and his cronies).

What with Eto'o and Willian clashing for supremacy in the dressing-room with the aging trio of Cashley, Terry, and Fat Frank, I can see Mourhino losing control very quickly. Looks like Mad Dog has a perfect excuse as and when he needs to get rid.
 
Just seen footage of Wenger and Ozil on SSN walking out of their training ground building, it looks like Ozil's being lead to the gallows! the face on him! really doesn't want to be there. The distance between them is about 10yds, Wenger appeared to turn to talk to him, but he wasn't there! <laugh>
 
Ozil will have undoubtedly been unsettled by the comments made by various of his Real team-mates that they didn't want him to leave and that they thought the club had made a massive mistake letting him go.

I suspect that Ozil was told by Real's mandarins that he had to go, and to "take one" for the club that he clearly still loves so much.

Not sure the Gooners are going to enjoy watching a player who clearly doesn't want to be at their club. Perhaps he could end up being their Rebrov?

That's a bit fanciful. More likely he'd be determined to show them what they are missing. However if Arsenal win nothing in the next season or two, be interesting to see how committed he is then.
 
I follow your logic, SD, but I'm not so sure it works that way. Psychology is a strange thing, and in professional sports - where the margins between success and failure are so tiny - the slightest doubts, regrets, discontentments, etc, can make all the difference in these top players.

Willian will probably be okay for Chavs (provided he gets the game time, of course), because he got what he wanted from his move - ie. money.

But with Ozil, I'm not convinced that money was a motivating factor for him. I think he genuinely wanted to be at a club that can win things, and now he's moved to Arsenal, and I cannot imagine he's over the moon about that.
 
Ozil has left the biggest club in world football where he was one of their leading players,to sign for a club which can't win trophies but will play pretty football, surely it wont be long before he realises he can't settle for second best.

Wenger can still build exciting teams but the days of him challenging for the league or winning trophies are over unless he moves club to release some of that stubborness.
 
There's a thread on the Gooners' board, started by a Mouser, and which was swiftly closed down. The OP was accused of wumming, but all he did was to post a link to a newspaper article about Whinger saying that if AFC don't win anything this season he will walk away from the club. How is that wumming?

Anyway, I've read that article and it is extremely interesting, particularly the photograph gallery of when AFC last won anything. Whinger didn't have grey hair back then, that's how long it's been!

So, I wonder if he'll walk before the last game of the season, or wait until the season is finished?
 
the article is on the BBC online news today,he says he is open on a new contract,but will wait to see how they preform this season before deciding wether to leave or stay
