Leveling insults at me will not detract from the fact that Whinger has dropped a bollock in this transfer window. He's staked everything on going for the player that he was never going to get (Goofy) and has missed out on a raft of other players who could have seriously strengthened your squad. As it is, you have not improved, your fans will get on Whinger's back come the start of the season, and you've all been mugged-off yet again. That's not my fault, clown. That's all down to your manager and his board of old codgers. If you want to vent your spleen at anyone vent it at them, and take your size 28 shoes off this board whilst you do it. No one here is interested in listening to you wishful-thinking.
The funny thing is that we've probably missed out on a similar number of targets as Arsenal but that hasn't stopped us quickly moving on and signing other quality players. This was the summer were supposed to be spending big on quality players and reopening the gap that we've been closing down. Cut it how you like this has been a far from ideal start for Arsenal's transfer window. Whether it's a lack of funds, missing out on players or failing to identify any targets you don't need any inside knowledge to be critical of their lack of signings.
To be fair, Higuain was never worth 35m, so I'm glad we didn't sign him for that. Suarez was always going to be tricky, but there's still time for a lot to happen in this window. I admit that I'd like to have seen us sign some players by now, but the best players usually go at the end of the window, as their clubs are desperate to hang on to them. I'm pretty sure we'll sign somebody before the window closes. . . if we don't, I'll eat HIAG's hat
Away from the bickering with Arsenal fans...... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23710359 I disagree with Moyes. You have to play these fixtures at some point. I'd sooner play City and Chelsea before their new players bed in and I'd sooner play Liverpool with Suarez frozen out. You play all the teams twice - that is a constant - the order of the fixtures is irrelevant. Hull at home on the last day might seem like a good idea, but what if they're scrapping to avoid relegation. And as we saw with Chelsea's trip to OT last season, if the title's in the bag, the intensity goes out of that game and it's not a significant fixture any longer.
I'm sure you will, Wenger wouldn't dare insult the fans with the solitary signing of Sanogo. We'll have to wait and see but whilst Wenger still seems keen to only get players who are available at a price he considers reasonable, at some stage he will end up biting the bullet. I'd have thought he was better off doing that earlier in the window rather than later. If other clubs start badly then there will be sides coming in for players that they wouldn't have a few weeks before and Real might prove to be one of those if they miss out on Bale. It's a gamble leaving it this late and when you've got plenty of money to spend and some big gaps in the squad it's an unnecessary risk.
For a supposedly intelligent man, its just the most stupid thing to say, every season contains a run of 'nasty' fixtures in quick succession, and it can turn up anywhere, whinging about the worst start in 20 years!....is he serious!, how about explaining why it's only 1 in 20, everyone else gets them more regular than that.
I think him making a forty million bid busts the myth that he's not willing to spend. But getting deals done is of course not down to Wenger alone. There are two clubs, buyer and seller, player and agent all needing to agree terms and conditions. When you're aiming to sign the top players, from a rival team, then it's always going to complicate matters further. I've no doubt Suarez wants to join Arsenal, but whether Liverpool finally cave in or not is not in Arsenal's control. It's ideal to get deals done early in the window, but the best players usually don't get sold until the end of the window, because their respective clubs are trying their hardest to hold onto them and / or trying to get the best price for them. It's a gamble of course, go for the safer option of players who are easier to sign or risk trying to prize away the best players by pushing it all the way until the end of the window ?
We've got a couple of tea ladies Wenger can buy. They won't score goals but Wenger can throw a cup instead of a bottle. They say cups are more lethal......
Suspect this is a sly dig at Spurs saying our signings are not of the quality you would want at Arsenal... Think what you want, I'm delighted with our signings so far.
Soldado and paulinho would walk into the arsenal team. Capoue too probably as they need a dm. Chad would get game time but might not start
Man Utd are now after Ozil! They need a major re-evaluation in their targets if this is true: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...801?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
It's a very silly thing to say - you could actually turn it around and say that that it's unfair to other teams because if United were to win all of them then it puts them at a massive advantage. Must say i find that Spurs statistic staggering - it's actually unfair on the fans as there's nothing like a nice home fixture to get the season off with a bang.
What's the matter, COYG? You can't refute that report, so you have to resort to neg repping someone and calling them "twatty features"? Says everything we need to know about you.
Moyes ought to have the brainpower to realize the tough schedule is an advantage. Getting the team into as good a state as possible as early as possible makes more sense for Man U than for anyone it plays. So, assuming they plan ahead, it's a great chance to take advantage of teams who shouldn't be as ready as they are.
Is Bent and Berbatov the most laidback, languid forward pairing in the history of the Premier League? Can't remember it working for us, but they might both have a point to prove this season. Bent certainly does.
