Both are pretty poor tbh but Chelsea are only slight favourites. Not as good as previous Chelsea teams but generally we are good at home to the big sides (even away too).

Piers Morgan is clearly a total bellend and I'm sure that most Arsenal fans would agree, but he's right about van Persie's sale to Utd being a disgusting move by their board.
I don't think that I've ever seen a clearer message from a side that was claiming to be a title challenger that they'd already conceded that they weren't really in the race.
If he was being a twat and insisting on a move, then by all means give him one. Don't sell him to a club that you believe is a rival of yours, though. That's just stupid.

Handed the title to Ferguson this season. Even he couldn't believe it.

And that moron Piskie mocks our refusal to sell Modric to Chelsea for the sake of 5 extra million <laugh>

I couldn't believe that The Goons agreed to sell him to Utd - I agree that Fergie was probably speechless, for once.

Even though it sticks in my throat a bit to say it, RVP is a world class talent. He certainly picked the right place to go. He wanted to win something, which was never going to happen where he was, and Fergie was astute enough to know that he was what he needed to get the title back.

When you sell a key player to a rival you are saying "We accept we simply cannot compete with you". I can't say I like Levy but his stance on Modric gained my respect, he was prepared to put principle above money, the complete
opposite to Kroenke/Gazidis and the Arsenal board. Gerrard was very much a similar scenario in 2005 and one of the most important things (IMO) in Liverpool's history.

Unfortunately it's just another case of English clubs losing their soul and identity. When Barcelona sold Figo to Real (although close to total bankruptcy) heads rolled and every single person involved was replaced from top to bottom, clean sweep of board and manager and look where they are now?

Arsenal would be comfortably ahead of Spurs and Chelsea if they had kept RVP irrespective of the spin and stats their fans are coming out with. The other 10 players are a lot better than they had last year. Podolski, RVP, Walcott and Cazorla would have been frightening.

At Arsenal he was never fit; lucky to play 20 games a season. They didn't know how to look after him.

At Man U, he has his own personnal trainer/fitness manager/physio and has played the majority of games this season.

The difference is huge and I don't believe Arsenal would have been any better this season with RVP.

To our detriment he actually pretty much played the entire season last time out, for Arsenal

Spurm's right Inda, as much we all waited/hoped/expected a fall, he was pretty much ever-present last season bar an odd week here and there, his first years blighted agreed, but during his 'peak' age 27/8 he's been remarkably fit....:(

Giroud's red card appeal has been rejected.

Still no news from the FA on Nasri and Sturridge's retrospective bans <whistle>

I've been meaning to say that that red card could be a big moment. Am i right in saying he misses 3 of their last 4? And he's their "main" centre forward.

What are you dancing for? Giroud is woefully out of form and it means Podolski (who is the better player) will be given a run. I'd rather Giroud have played

I sort of agree, but it gives them fewer options at least. They're forward line are all midgets now.

Typicaly useless observation exposing your woeful knowledge.

Of course...thats why Plod is always on the bench! Giroud is their only 'target man' forward and is favoured by Wenger for a very good reason...one clearly eluding you!

Podolski, was at one point not too long ago, the most 'subbed' player in the league...might still be, the point is, the games he started were the Goons iffy one's earlier in the season. Giroud took a while to get going but has been part of the side that has done better in the last few months. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got more dancing to do. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what i've seen there seems to be very much a "what the referee says, goes" policy in place at the moment from the FA, in order to give referee's their full backing.

Obviously With Suarez it's a completely different story. - But with "normal" reckless challenges (whether the ref has spotted them or not) whatever the outcome is during the game, seems to be the final answer.

Therefore as Nasri's and Sturridge's went unnoticed, it's likely there'll be no punishment as it undermines the ref.
