9 successive clean sheets for Burnley who go 2nd.
Their defensive record is currently the best ever in the history of English football (goals conceded per game ratio).
They don’t score many goals- and they didn’t tonight either as their winner was an own goal.
Imagine if the team you support could defend

Scott Parker was painfully boring as a player and he has continued that trait into management.

Trouble is that it's recipe for disaster if they are promoted, if they can't score in the championship what chance do they stand in the premier league.

They may well beat the clean sheet record, then a couple of their defenders and the GK will move on. I have feeling that their lack of goals will cost them ultimately and that they will lose on penalties in the play off semi final!

Last season there was a lot of talk about the '5th' champions league spot available via the UEFA coefficient. Obviously last season we were 5th and english teams in Europe were rubbish! Not us of course as unusually we weren't in Europe.

Fast forward to the group stages of this season and English Clubs (other than City), have been excellent in Europe (and we have played our part), and of course England at this stage is well on course for the 5th champions league place good news for our old friends at City, Chelsea, Villa, Newcastle, and Bournemouth (what a story that would be) all in the hunt for a top 5 finish whilst we fight relegation!

We supposedly bid for Maxime Esteve, their left-footed centre-back, on the last day of the window.
James Trafford's been linked with various Premier League clubs, including Newcastle.
Bashir Humphries is on loan from Chelsea.

Isak really is some striker though, bullying that Arsenal defence, mental we pretty much paid the same for Richarlison.

One's now worth £100m+ easily. The other's worth a bag of chips.
