Everton fans clamouring for Moyes to return on Twitter. Dyche's football has always been a tough watch but I'm not sure any manager makes a difference to them at the moment so sacking or keeping him won't change much. Just looking through the squad and only Branthwaite, who's injured right now, would appeal to any decent side. Pickford at club level has always been average. Coleman's an OAP. Keane is awful. Mykolenko ain't much better. They lost their star midfielder and replaced him with a Villa U21s player. Gordon wasn't replaced. Richarlison wasn't replaced albeit they can have him back. Calvert-Lewin takes more interest in wearing skirts than scoring goals. It's not a job I think many managers would want... Moyes out of sentimentality might fancy returning if Dyche is given the boot but I'd be amazed if they stay up this year, it's been coming for a while and this season finally feels like 'the one'.
I keep forgetting how ****ed financially they are. Bramley-Moore won't even be able to start reaping its rewards early on if they go down too. And if they do go down, I'm not even sure they'd return immediately.
And that new stadium won't be financed on Championship-level income... The parachute payments only have a limited shelf life so they would almost have to come straight back up or they'll go to the wall. What a shame....
Yeah said similar about Bramley-Moore not being able to reap the benefits straight away. It’s actually mad to think it could be debuting in the championship. Looking at the squad too, if they did go down, you’d assume Branthwaite and probably Pickford would get snapped up, beyond those two it’s a very “mid-Championship” looking team. Not sure they’d return at first opportunity.
My view is if they go down the takeover will happen either in the normal way or after they enter administration
Saw Kadioglu was one of the scorers last night for Brighton, I've said multiple times I really do see them as being dark horses for top four this season (possibly even the league cup too!) and that Kadioglu looks a really smart signing if his Euros performances were anything to go by. My Fener mates were gutted to lose him and if he does adapt well to the Prem I think he'll be another in Brighton's ongoing list of smart transfers that will end up netting them a huge profit within a couple years.
Once,I would have shielded Spurs crap play with my life.No longer. This is what it is. European football or not. Come on Pool ,City,United,Goon fans.Welcome!Tell us what we've become...and Everton. What's happening there. They've always turned out very good teams.2 clubs players just want to play for money and nothing else....apparently! Bloody well WAKE UP!
They did have a reputation for being flaky and conceding from set pieces. Of course, we know they were bottlers, even from Wenger’s time. He’s addressed these issues, but they have become a bit toothless up front. Jesus must be the most ineffective centre forward around - he never threatens the goal, rarely having a SoT and he’s hardly a physical presence in the penalty area. Havertz is still unconvincing for me. I think he has decided that 1-0 to the Ars-en-al is the way to go
