I've not assumed Kane would've scored the penalty. I even said in an earlier post which I think was the one you quoted that they may or may not have scored. That is immaterial. The fact a penalty is awarded and happens means everything that follows changes.
My response and my point (and I don't know how many times I can repeat this) was in response to the Saka penalty claim and the fact Bayern had one earlier. Both penalty claims.
I've not mentioned what future events would've transpired had all decisions been given, I've only referenced one - namely the Bayern penalty and that all subsequent events would've changed had they been awarded theirs. That's not firtune telling mate, that's just a fact. Do you disagree with this? Tbf it's only you that's brought other decisions into it. We could micro-analyse every decision as a form of tedious or contentious whataboutery but that would seem ridiculous. I'd have exactly the same position if Arsenal had, had that handball pen claim first. So once again, not even at all.
Right, this is my final reply to you because we've done this to death and I'm sure people are getting bored about reading this exchange between us.
I perfectly understand that the Gabriel penalty incident was earlier than the Saka incident. I understand why you think the incidents don't cancel themselves out. I also understand, had this earlier penalty been given, the flow of the game may be different. But what I take issue with is the underlying assumption in your posts that Bayern would have maximised the benefits from this situation. I can flip this and say things could have also turned out very differently to what you would have expected. It's all hypothetical and none of us know what would have happened if they were awarded a spot kick. You seem to be convinced Gabriel should have been penalised for the penalty - that's your prerogative. I, on the other hand, do not think it's as straight forward as you're making it out to be. The wildly differences of opinions on this from football analysts, journalists, pundits and ex-players prove that to be the case. I also took issue with you focusing on that one part of my post about incidents levelling themselves out, and your unwavering belief that we should have conceded a penalty changing things, when there were other contentious decisions in the game which you could just as easily argue would have altered the course of events.
That's all I have to say on the matter. If you want to reply back, be my guest. But I'm moving on from this now.
