    And then there is the added irony that Villa's progress in Europe is helping 5th become a CL position.

    I think the point is they can't be foolish and gamble on any one way working for them. They have far too much at stake financially to risk anything less than going full pelt on all fronts.

    No. Chelsea still have to play the filth, the Spam and Villa.
    They might even end up finishing as the top club in Fulham, if they're lucky.
