I don't know. It feels kinda coordinated. There were a whole bunch of stories within 24 hours. Nothing appears to have changed in that time, so what prompted them? The most obvious answer would be one inspiring the others, as a lot of sports writers are lazy.

Wilson is a Sunderland fan, I’m fairly certain of that. You may also be aware that Nicky Bandini (the journalist formerly known as Paolo) went public as transgender in 2019, which is irrelevant to this discussion on what team they support, but many people don’t like deadnaming. There are a huge number of Arsenal supporting Graun writers and contributors though, even more on their podcast.
