While this does have strong "Somebody down the pub told me..." energy, there's the suggestion that if Leicester go down they will launch an appeal accusing Everton of violating FFP to stay up at their expense

Really? Leicester? Accusing other teams of gaming FFP to gain an advantage? Remind me, how kosher was their spending when they got promoted...?

Hundreds of them were chanting "Vinicius is a monkey", apparently.

I don't know. It feels kinda coordinated. There were a whole bunch of stories within 24 hours.
Nothing appears to have changed in that time, so what prompted them?
The most obvious answer would be one inspiring the others, as a lot of sports writers are lazy.

The easy place to look is for which pundits or journos are Arsenal fans

Pundits: Ian Wright, Lee Dixon, Martin Keown
Journos: David Ornstein, Guillem Balague, Barney Ronay, David Conn, Sid Lowe, Jonathan Wilson, Paolo Bandini, Amy Lawrence, Raphael Honigstein (FFS, how many Grauniad writers?), Oliver Holt, John Cross (so that's a couple from the Mirror too) Gabriele Marcotti
Gobshites with a lot of reach: Piers Moron, various AFTV pondlife
AN Other: Opta Joe

When there's seven Grauniad writers it's easy to see how it could get coordinated. After all, wouldn't be the first time in the last few years a bunch of Grauniad writers got coordinated to try and create a Narrative...

Wilson is a Sunderland fan, I’m fairly certain of that. You may also be aware that Nicky Bandini (the journalist formerly known as Paolo) went public as transgender in 2019, which is irrelevant to this discussion on what team they support, but many people don’t like deadnaming.

There are a huge number of Arsenal supporting Graun writers and contributors though, even more on their podcast.

I was going by the list posted on r/bottlersgunners, so less deadnaming and more they haven't updated that list in 3-4 years
