I have to admit I have severe reservations about him now. The issues that plagued him at Brighton (i.e. scoring goals) persisted at a club with an unlimited budget. Which tells me either he hasn't got the minerals to stand up to an incompetent owner and overrule him on transfer strategy, or that he is an awful squad builder but an excellent coach who relied on the talent-spotters at Brighton (who are still there and still doing an excellent job) to service him with a balanced squad.

Either way, those are two recipes for disaster here so a strong 'wid' barely 18 months ago has swung to a strong 'widnae' from me.

Tbf i wouldnt totally blame him for our mess and the fact that he is an excellent coach when he has been given time is exactly the sort of coach spurs should be going for. Someone who will take players and improve them and craft a team.

However, i think it would be a bad appointment now even though he is the sort of coach you want as he will now be tainted goods having "failed" as a chelsea manager. I reckon the spurs supporters will have cooled on him with that tag so they would turn on him should he have a rough start when hes shown at every club he will put things correctly with time.

Unfortunately for him, teams at the top don't give their managers time (to their folly) imo.

Yeah I think most Spurs fans have understandably had enough of Chelsea thrift store castaways.

I don't necessarily agree with boehlys transfer strategy but if i had to put money on Chelsea getting another trophy first or spurs i reckon we could buy one before you

I agree.

Chelsea have the "right stuff" to attracts the Romans of
this world to buy them (just as the Spanners have the
"right stuff" that attracts the D1ldo bros of this world) .

Apparently ten Hag is becoming increasingly impatient with Sancho.

We know how you feel, pal. We’ve got about 7 or 8 Sancho’s of our own, just maybe without £75m price tag.

Chelsea have picked a team that appears to make sense:

Not sure about Liverpool's, but Klopp's made some changes:

The FA have appealed Mitrovic's ban, presumably because they want it to be longer.

He's got star quality and a real eye for goal.
Love watching Brighton. Dare I say they have a look of 2016 Spurs about them....<laugh>
I'd say 2014 Swansea for now, because it's not entirely clear how much of what they're doing is down to Potter and De Zerbi, and how much is down to the structure they have in place making the managers look better than they are
