I think too many people get confused between the cost of their squad and the quality of it. Take a proper look at their squad and compare it to your own or or any of the other top six side`s, how many of City`s squad would you swap for them?

To be fair, there is a lot of quality in it, but it was always going to be difficult to persuade a band of mercenaries to perform an encore. There are no players at City with any attachment to the club or any desire to keep on winning and be recognised for what they have achieved rather than what they've earned. The secret of SAF's success is to have been able to assemble players who fit the necessary criteria.

I am talking squad here LDL(not first 11), take a look at any of the top six and see how many City players you would place in them.

Apparently a lot of City's players will be for sale at the end of the season. I've always maintained that City is a house of cards built too quickly on unsteady foundations. Today though Saints can count themselves very fortunate with their goals. They won't get too many teams being that generous to them.

And Villa take the lead. Ridiculous challenge from Noble and a very cool penalty by Benteke.

Allardyce responds by going even longer than they already were. HOOF!

2-0! N'Zogbia with a lovely free-kick. **** wall, though.
Villa's 10th and 11th goals at home this season! <laugh>

And despite some suicidal defending from Villa, including a ****e OG, West Ham continue to play **** and lose.

I wouldn't lose any sleep if both sides went down. Unfortunately I don't think either will.

Can't stand their fans and had no sympathy for their plight but now Lambert's there and they're playing a lot of youngsters who have come through the ranks I have warmed to them.

That's the first I've seen of Dawkins - showed some promise but unless I'm missing something he wouldn't get into our third team so Villa mus be as bad as they seem

He kickstarted his career in the US after sufferring a bad injury, but prior to that he was bloody awful during his first spell with us.

yeah its dire, SAF did say there will be a new one in the summer thankfully

Apart from Wigan, most clubs seem to be able to replace the pitch midseason without too many problems if it's needed. I'm sure Fergie doesn't mind that United will be playing Real on a poor pitch or indeed that they'll be seeing out the season playing home games on a pitch that they'll be more used to than anyone else <whistle>

I've been reading about European teams fixing matches.Well if you looked at the Southampton goals it would make you think for a moment......wouldn't it?
