Swansea player just caught a Blackburn player in the stomach. The geezer goes down holding his head. Swansea player gets a second yellow. Commentators say nothing about the Blackburn player being a cheating ****wit
Watching MOTD earlier, didn't see it analysed but in the Palace match, surely the "foul" that led to their opening goal was a horrendous dive? The winger was hardly touched, if at all.
More legal issues regarding rape for Utd: https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/cristiano-ronaldo-las-vegas-police-26150445 This time it's Rapenaldo trying to block the release of police files on the case. The Football Leaks stuff is incredibly damaging if it's real.
Were it not for brilliant PR, their demise would be looked upon as arguably the biggest of any club in Europe this century. City have won 11 trophies since they last won a single bit of silverware yet there hasn't been any talk of a power shift.
On the other hand, this is a clear red: https://mixture.gg/v/61ffc7616db44 Ludicrous decision and VAR does it's usual bottle-job. Darren England, again.
I've genuinely never seen a more blatant red card. There is not just one, but two counts in which that should have been a red card. It's as clear as day this competition is just set up for the big boys to succeed. Even the 5th round draw defies all odds with them all avoiding each other.
"Same old English, always cheating!", chant the sheepshaggers. They're not English, they're Scouse. You wouldn't have that problem in the League of Wales... Well, you would, as that's mainly won by an English team, but you get my point.
"One to tell the grandkids about. On the counter, Cardiff pull a goal back." The BBC being patronising dongpenguins
ITV were the same when Boro beat United. The first thing Paddy McNair was asked about (having scored a penalty shootout) was a handball scored in the 64th minute of play despite the fact United still had 60 minutes further to score a goal. The interviewer sounded crestfallen United have lost. I guess the "Cupsets" and "Magic of the cup" only applies when Liverpool or United aren't the victims.
I was out walking and picked up on the Pool commentary on TalkShite just as they scored the first. I listened for a while and then did some shopping. When I finished I started listening to BBC 5 live. The balance could not have been more different. TalkShite actually mentioned the two big decisions that went against Cardiff, the BBC (though they may have done at some other point) didn't for any of the time I listened, until I couldn't cope with any more fawning toadyism. As for the decisions going in favour of big teams, I'm always thinking that they've got better players, they don't need the ref and VAR as well. It's kind of unfair. Some of the only opportunities a "lesser" team are going to get are if the bigger team makes a mistake. If they're not allowed to make mistakes then there's not much point in watching. The other test of course is whether had the teams been reversed, would Pool have got those decisions that Cardiff didn't. I don't think we have to explore that much.
