****ing hell, if I thought Lo Celso was an injury prone waste of space, Everton’s Gbamin bought for £25m two summers ago has just come on for only his 8th appearance for them.

Ah, but they signed two people already this window, so they're so much better at transfers than we are...

They’ve shown better intent than us, that’s for sure. Gotta admire their persistence, even if they generally get it wrong they try rectifying it… but generally get it wrong again.

We get it wrong then wait over two years in the hope our flops come good.

They've spent about £500m over the last few years without signing a single player who would start for us, never mind one of the richer sides

And we’ve spent about £200m on players that don’t start for us. We’re not in much of a bragging position.

Doucoure > Lo Celso and Ndombele too. And you’d take Richarlison over Bergwijn any day of the week, even if he is a diving little prick.

Digne getting itchy feet is the reason why, as they're expecting a windfall - yet the two players they signed were for considerably less than they're expecting of Digne

Also, don't we have this every transfer window where there's handwringing about how well Everton did in the transfer window...and at best they stand still? How they haven't been put on blast for wasting James Rodriguez I have no idea

They haven’t done well… yet. We’ll have to see how well they've done 6-12 months down the line. But they’ve hit the ground running in the window and showed intent to strengthen which is admirable. Meanwhile we’re gonna likely take 10+ days to try and sign Adama Traore.
