Trust me, we weren't proudThat loss to us could be one of the most embarrassing results of your season. We are a dreadful, dreadful team.
Actually the obvious question was why MacArthur wasn't sent off for a wild lunge on Saka.Didn't see the match but the obvious question (particularly given who the ref is) is that was the right amount of extra time added?

https://www.justarsenal.com/video-p...e-red-for-malicious-saka-injuring-foul/293822Could easily have had 2 yellows before he should have seen red and yet got just 1 yellow. Even if Dean missed it surely at least the VAR should have suggested he look again at the monitor.
I wouldn't go that far but Arteta really isn't the right coach for Arsenal. Much like Lampard at Chelsea and OGS at United there is no discernible style of play which makes the "rebuild", "project", "transition" (or whatever Sky Sports buzzword fans want to use) difficult to buy into.
I genuinely expected Palace to get something last night and expect Villa to do the same on Friday which sums up where Arsenal are at under Arteta. I think if Arteta fail to win on Friday then Arsenal should cut their losses after the international break and get someone else in who can realistically get a top 6 finish.
Let me clarify: I don't think we have dreadful players - I actually think a semi-competent coach could get us into the top-six (which is probably our ceiling). But my issue is that even if Villa repeat what they did at The Emirates last season, the board still won't get rid.
I made this point on the Arsenal board but it seems like there is no depth Arteta could sink to for the club to part ways - unless we're in the relegation zone by Christmas. And even then, I'm not fully convinced they'd part ways.
He should have been sacked two times over. I just feel like they're going to stick to their guns with Arteta unless the atmosphere at games gets really toxic. If we keep going in this direction, it won't be long before we hear booing and jeering on a frequent basis.

He definitely got the ball if you ask me…
Wow. Clearest red card I have seen in a while. Also a penalty - I know arms flail when jumping but the Palace defender had them straight up in the air?

The fact that you don't expect them to win or that they're playing on Monday and Friday during a European football week?I genuinely expected Palace to get something last night and expect Villa to do the same on Friday which sums up where Arsenal are at under Arteta.

I mean, if it was at Anfield or Old Trafford...Wow. Clearest red card I have seen in a while. Also a penalty - I know arms flail when jumping but the Palace defender had them straight up in the air?
Edit - ignore the penalty, just realised must have been in the Arsenal box![]()
It's ok, we learned that playing without a midfield is a bad idea from that ****e.That loss to us could be one of the most embarrassing results of your season. We are a dreadful, dreadful team.

To be fair, Nuno learned that after one gameIt's ok, we learned that playing without a midfield is a bad idea from that ****e.![]()
